Do Nesta And Cassian Get Together Novels & Stories

“She already is. You ruined whatever you guys had five years ago right? So stop acting like she still owes you something and man up.” The silence that followed was suffocating. Shattering. His throat bobbed. His eyes flicked over my shoulder — to where Liana now stood down the hallway, holding Elias close. She wasn’t hiding, but she wasn’t approaching either. Cassian’s chest caved. Something inside him flickered — pain, regret, longing, something he’d never admit out loud. Then he straightened, pulling every piece of broken armor back into place. “This isn’t over Tristan,” he murmured.

Kian stepped forward, holding out his broad, leather-clad forearm to his brother. Cassian looked at Kian's arm for a fraction of a second, then reached out, gripping Kian’s forearm tightly with his own. Their eyes locked in a silent, unshakeable pact, two men who had lost their titles, their inheritances, and their fathers’ favor, but had found something infinitely harder to break in the snow. "The lower barracks are warm," Kian said quietly, his grip on Cassian's arm tightening before he let go. "Selene is in the ledgers room. She's going to tell you your pencil points are dull."

“I almost died. And if someone doesn’t stop him, it won’t be the last time.” Nina didn’t answer. She didn’t need to. Outside the hospital later that day, Cassian lit a cigarette with shaking hands. It had been years since he last smoked, but something about this day brought the habit back. Reid stood beside him. “She’s tougher than we thought.” Cassian didn’t look at him. “I always knew she was.” Reid’s voice dropped. “So what’s the plan?” Cassian flicked ash onto the sidewalk. “We don’t wait. We don’t play defense.”

This was different. This was Cassian, who had always known what to do in rooms and had spent a week not knowing what to do in any of them, finally doing the one thing that had been sitting at the end of every thought he’d had since the council room. Noah kissed him back. He didn’t pull away and Cassian didn’t pull away and the room was quiet and warm around them and outside the Bee’s Hive the campus was doing its Friday night thing completely indifferent to the fact that something was happening in a second floor room that had been building since a cold porch in the Catskills.

Either dealing with family wars or expanding his territory overseas. We saw less and less of each other, like two strangers living under the same roof. Until the accident two months ago. Cassian finally had some time off and took me to Napa Valley. Under the stars at a vineyard, he drank a lot. “You know, Arabella?” a drunk Cassian said, his arm around me. “I wanted to marry you from the first moment I saw you.” “The alliance, all of it… that was just an excuse. I just wanted you.”

Something breaking and rebuilding all at once. As the night wore on, Cassian mingled like a star resurrected. He laughed with donors, posed for pictures, even danced once or twice. But Rowan was never far. Not watching, exactly. More… hovering. It was near midnight when Cassian finally escaped to the rooftop lounge a quiet reprieve above the chaos. Rowan followed a few steps behind. “Did I do okay?” Cassian asked, leaning against the railing. “You were more than okay.” Cassian turned. Their faces were inches apart. The city sparkled behind them. Cassian’s breath caught.

"This is a lot of pressure—" "I'm sure. I want this. Want you. Want us to be permanently, completely, unbreakably together." Adrian pulled him down for a kiss. "Let's make it impossible for any force in any universe to separate us." The storm outside intensified. Three days until Lucian's reset. Even the rewriting of reality itself. That night, Adrian and Cassian stood in their quarters, both nervous despite the complete bond. "We don't have to do this tonight," Cassian said gently. "We have three days."

Cassian turned to head back inside. Xander asked from behind him, "Wasn't Alpha Cassian going to the restroom?" Cassian stopped and looked back over his shoulder. "I suddenly lost the urge. Be my guest." Xander smiled and walked right up to Cassian. "I suddenly lost the urge too." The two men stared each other down, heavy undercurrents surging between them. Back in the room, Trista waited a while before she finally saw Xander and Cassian walk back in together.

I shot back at her, her face fell at my words. "But we are engaged. I am your Luna Queen. I have a right to ask you this." She said and I chuckled. I didn't want to create the scene and show Cassandra that my life is fucked up after she left. I grabbed her shoulder. "Let's go.. home. It's getting late." I said and approached Cassandra. "See you again, Doctor Luke," I said as I gave a warning glare to Cassandra. I walked back into my car. Evelyn and I didn't speak in the entire journey to our way back. As soon as she entered the packhouse, she threw her purse.

Goddess, there are times I just want to get rid of Rook, but I am stuck with him. *** My schedule for the day was packed. And after three lectures, I don’t even have up to thirty minutes to make my way to the training rink. By the time I arrive, most of my teammates are already there, but luckily Coach is nowhere to be seen. I glance toward the bleachers to see Cassian sitting there, and beside him is Savannah; they seem to be having a conversation. I stare in confusion, knowing fully well that Cassian despises her for reasons I don’t know.
