But watching those fools flirt with her, touch her—I wanted to kill every single one of them. Lily looked over at me and met my eyes across the room. I stared back and drank in silence, trying to control my feelings. I knew she could feel my eyes on her, and part of me hoped she would come to me, that she’d need me to pull her away from those men.
