I empty the bottle, letting it fall when I’m done. Or did it slip from my hand? I wasn’t sure what actually happened, I just knew I heard the soft thud of it colliding with the floor.
The ground shifts beneath me, this time, I’m not so quick to grab onto something and I feel myself falling to the ground. My arm protectively wrap around my bump. The fall is never-ending. It seems to go on for a long time. And when I finally make impact, I don’t even feel it. But even as I try to open my eyes, I see that everywhere is black.
