Bella was persuasive, "Grandma, just give him her stuff back." Old Mrs. Elijah had to say, "Isn't it just a bag? Somebody, bring out that bag in the parlor." Even when Mrs. Teresa brought his order, he didn't touch his coffee. Jefferson was initially doubtful, but in the end, he drank it, and apparently, there was no poison there because until he returned to the mansion, he didn't feel anything strange. Even when he and the makeup artist went to the fitting room, he only had a few minutes. While he was changing his clothes, Jefferson was waiting for him outside his changing room.

Just then, there were a couple of knocks on the door. It was Mr. Jefferson.

Joe Pritchett, on his knees, begging me?” We both dissolved into laughter then — real, relieved, bubbling laughter that filled the entire penthouse and bounced off the high ceilings.
