Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

“A donation from the used bookstore in Binghamton that closed. Paperbacks Plus? A whole collection of Leisure Horror paperbacks. Keene, Kenyon, Braunbeck, Ketchum, Sangiovanni . . . big catch, all brand new copies. How’d you work that?” I shrug, sorting out the tax forms for Bassler Library and Paperbacks Plus. “I’ve known the manager for a while. Used to go there a lot when I attended Binghamton University. She was one of the first people I called for advice when I decided to reopen this place, so when she learned her store owner was dropping the ax, she called and promised to send me her best stuff. So, great donation, sucky circumstances.” Cassie snorts. “No doubt.”

Then he said,” You guys also have a café here in with the bookstore, right? “Yeah, we do. Some people come in and like to read for some time. Enjoy. There is a woman who comes for lunch here every day at three in the afternoon and then takes her book which she likes and keeps on reading for the whole thirty minutes. She cannot afford to buy the books. So we try and help people give as much as chance they can to read. My boss thinks that the people who come here to read books are gonna be extinct soon like dodo birds and we are trying to help rehabilitate them,” I said as we finally reached the aisle where the second hand books were kept.

Thank you to all the support you've given. As mentioned, 50% of the profit from all of my books will be donated to Animal Welfare and in addition to this, I'll be donating funds for women and children of Afghanistan. We've been supporting a lot of foundations but cannot be mentioned here due to the privacy of the site. Plus I am part of a non-government organization. If you want to help you can message me and I can direct you to the organization that is needed.

she pointed, "and bring some of the books from the showcase. And then readers can bring them here for you to sign. Damien's neck muscles showed. - Right. He must have been wondering if anyone would buy his book. At least, according to the Marietta would it be possible for the store staff to determine how many books they would bring depending on the audience size. I could imagine how embarrassing it would be if there were five dozen books piled up there, and only three people in the audience. I would never have the courage to do that kind of thing. Damien reached into his bag. "Can I hand out bookmarks?" - That is great. I'll ask one of the store employees to deliver when people enter into. -

“Except for the new Nesmir Christie book, they did.” “Darn it, that book is the one we need to boost our new membership drive.” Her boss sounded aggrieved. “We did get the new books by Devlin Geris and John Rood.” She held up a copy each of the two writers whom she considered among the best in the business. “Hm, I suppose those will have to do.” Hamby shrugged indifferently. “We could get them to do a reading here at the library...” Doris looked at her boss expectantly. “Or at least one of them, John Rood maybe... ”

I Will Find You

I Will Find You

A medium-weight blanket that could survive the dryer and didn’t care about spills. On my way to the register I remembered the conversation we’d had at the diner about books and the way her eyes had lit sideways when she mentioned a mystery author. Banks once showed me how to find the public side of a wish list when a pack kid didn’t know how to ask for a birthday gift. I tried the same trick now and felt briefly like a burglar when it pulled up—H. Williams—Books—all paperbacks, nothing flashy, a handful of titles I recognized and two I didn’t. I picked three, then forced myself to stop, because generosity without brakes can feel like pressure. I paid and didn’t look at the total. Wolves coun

ACCIDENTAL CALL FROM THE MAFIA LORD

ACCIDENTAL CALL FROM THE MAFIA LORD

He is now in his sixties, but is still rocking strong. This place always made me feel like I was living in the 1980's era and it felt so good. Old things fascinate me. I also love it here because books are free to use. Most of them are novels and poetry that is why I love it even more. You only have to pay five dollars every three months if you are a regular visitor. Dale is also good at remembering events and faces of people so he knows who are the people that need to pay. I grabbed a book from the shelf next to me. It was a poetry book and I started reading it.

My Badboy Knight

My Badboy Knight

DIANE Shopping was nice. I bought my pencils, socks and gloves. I even got myself Chinese takeout for dinner and a couple new comics from the bookstore near the condo. The bookstore, Supernova Comics, is a lovely sight to behold. The interior is beautiful, serene, filled with tall shelves containing so many cool comics, and there's even a cozy mini reading spot at the far end of the store. Mrs Jones, the bookstore owner, was nice and very hospitable to me. My shopping experience there was amazing, and I even see myself probably visiting there whenever I need to treat myself to a comic getaway.
