Stretching up on my toes, I grabbed the book and nearly fell backward in the process.
“What the hell are you hiding, Darius?” I murmured, brushing the dust off the cover.
When I opened it, my breath caught in my throat. It was a photo album.
The first page held a picture of a young boy. His dark hair was messy, and he had this cocky little smirk that screamed troublemaker.
I couldn’t help but smile. “So, you weren’t born an asshole,” I muttered, flipping to the next page.
There were more pictures—him as a teenager, him with a group of other boys, probably his friends. And then there was one of him holding a trophy, his grin so wide it almost looked fake.
