Cela remains disappointed. "C'mon. It's not like they bought everything. They just thought of giving the books as Christmas presents apart from the corporate giveaways. You must know that your mother enjoyed your first book so much. Too bad that she passed before the second one is out," Nanny Rita continued. "You've always been loyal to her," Cela said.

It was only a brief moment, but I would recognize that tattoo anywhere. On the left peck of the man's chest, swirling ink formed a huge snowflake with a snarling wolf. I knew that picture. It was the sigil of house Caldore. I had seen it in books and read about it in stories. The older witches whispered it in the tales they told my village at night. After a few pages, she looked up and took a deep breath. “I’m keeping this,” She placed the book on the table. “I’m done thinking. Now, let’s do it fast.”

The staff don't deserve to be treated poorly, so I plann to stay until she leaves. I pull up the book I've been reading called Thinking in Systems and pick up where I left off. At the receptionist's desk at work, there is a shelf of books available to borrow and I've been working through them one at a time. I don't know who gets to pick what goes there but each book has been impactful.
