Closer. She couldn’t breathe. And then, the dragon began to shift. Flame peeled back from him. His wings folded inward. The glow at his chest bled into flesh. Horns shortened. Claws pulled inward. And in seconds, Rhazien stood in his place, bare and glowing from within, his chest still lit from the fire beneath his skin.

I could feel something moving through me, an attraction that I hadn’t felt before. Sure, he was tall, dark, and handsome. His cheekbones were high and his body looked like something that had been molded by the gods. It didn’t explain why a part of me wanted to lay my head down against him.
