Dragon Bride Novels & Stories

"The bond is forged. Princess Diana Blake of the human Kingdom is now declared the chosen mate and wife to Prince Draven Volk of the Dragon Kingdom. May the Creator guide your union." There was no cheering or music. The moment the words were spoken, two Skyblade Warriors moved toward me at once. “We must depart now, Princess.” They didn't give me a chance to say goodbye. They led me out of the ritual hall immediately. "Diana! Wait!" I heard my father's voice shouting from behind. My family was rushing out to follow us out of the palace, struggling to keep up with the fast pace of the warriors. A black carriage lined with iron armor was already waiting, attached to two giant horses. Beside th

A full moon lit up Brida her face as she was preparing for the sacred ritual to honor the Moon Goddess. Every 100 years the planets aligned and in that moment a connection could be made with the Moon Goddess herself. Brida was a werewolf and a sorceress. She had been chosen to function as a portal to the Moon Goddess. There was no greater honor except maybe being sacrificed. Three virgin She-Wolves would be sacrificed to show the goddess their willingness for receiving her wisdom.

"My father and my brother use to call me small boy, great brain. I was sharp, and do observe a lot about things around me." "Where is your brother's grave? " I ask. He clenched his fist and began walking to the car telling me to wait. He came back with three bunch of flowers. We place them on each grave before going home in silence, both of us in our own thoughts. ♡♡ "it's time dear "Nanny Lilo says and pat my back. I sigh and stare at myself in the mirror. I look good in my white wedding dress that shows my cleavage. I know I look beautiful since everyone here won't stop gawking and flattering me. I appreciate them, but I'm not happy.

Luca gritted his words with an impertinent scowl sitting on his face. "Well mine is forced dear uncle. Bring me my bride, or else I will handle things my own way. And you know my way involves a lot more violence." I gave a wicked smirk before walking away from them. I need to go somewhere away from these people, somewhere I could think straight. * * * * * * JADE I threw stones into the little pond that shimmered under the glistening sun with my eyes having a faraway look in them. The breeze howled in my ears, carrying strands of my hair across my face and blocking my sight.

Physically, they looked like normal human beings but if only people could see them for who they really were. “Draven Cruz has arrived.” A butler announced and I almost choked on my water as I stared up ahead to notice a male in his 20’s. His hands were covered in tattoos and I watched him walk down the staircase before standing in front of the crowd, who were now lined up in front of him in a row, including me. Though, I was standing at the very last row, where men were standing next to the ladies as well. Men bowed in respect while the ladies bobbed a curtsy, including me. I could feel my heart pounding loudly against my chest as he stood up straight in front of the whole crowd, his blue ey

I turned. The mirror glowed faintly in the dark, like a window lit from another world. The woman inside it moved—not like a ghost, but like a prisoner pacing her cage. She pointed toward the wall. I followed her gaze—toward a painting. A young bride in colonial lace. Her eyes held secrets. Her smile… defeat. The name beneath: > “Anindya Damar, 1893 – Disappeared on Her Wedding Night.” The voice returned, stronger. > “The curse feeds on brides. On purity. On memory. But one bride... was never forgotten.”

A shadow of doubt danced over his face. "She was here, a moment ago," the shaman said. They waited. The door, behind them, opened. The bride was the first to enter, followed by her maids. Her dress was simple but elegant a mixture of red and white linen. She was beautiful beyond measure. The shaman was wearing the traditional costume of the Sawarth tribe. "Praise is Volun, the arch-god!" the shaman face was concealed behind his mask. "Praise is the goddess of love and marriage, Veretena!" the other shaman said nearly at the same time as the arch-shaman.

"I am your wife, we got married tonight, officially, with the old words, in front of everyone." "I was there. I remember every moment of it clearly." "So then why won't you..." "Because you are drunk," he said, even, patient; the patience of a man holding three centuries of wanting with both hands. "Draconis wine is not ordinary wine. It is brewed from a berry that grows only in dragon territory, and it affects the human body four times more severely than it affects anything else. You had four glasses of it and you are sitting in my bed at midnight asking me to..." He stopped, then started again. "When you wake up tomorrow and you cannot remember any of this, because I promise you right now,

He doesn't know my name and it hurts. After the opening introduction and the extended time-out for the two dragons, Laryn returns. His and Sarn's clothing are slightly disheveled but if there was blood they cleaned it off. Laryn remains by my side for the rest of the evening. I know of Calista, Sarn's bride. Her name and that of Meagan and Acasia as well as all the past brides are spoken of with reverence. To sacrifice yourself to a dragon is the highest honor a woman in my village can achieve. Of course, everyone believes they go to their death. It doesn't matter what they say to keep the brides from living in fear of the claiming. The village sacrifices the few to save the many. I had hope

Hardly attire befitting a Draken’s wife, let alone one about to undergo a sacred ceremony. Her fingers curled into fists at her sides. She just needed to endure this, to get through the ordeal quickly, then she could find Rhyzar and demand to know the truth about the looming war. She had seen too much destruction already, and if she could persuade him to choose the most peaceful path, she had to try. But then she saw it—the sight that made the murmuring voices fade into nothing. The altar. At its base stood a golden statue, its beauty unparalleled. “That’s the dragon’s mate,” the priestess murmured beside her, nodding toward the breathtaking figure. “The woman who bore the first Draken and g
