Hopefully you'll enjoy the next generation of Guardians as much as you enjoyed the first trilogy. Also, if you haven't tried it, I have a book out called The Arena. It's the first in the Elemental Dragons series. It's very different from this world of the Guardians. That book is filled with shifters and, you guessed it, dragons. That series is intended to have four books, one for each dragon.

His first sight of the city gates confirmed that they had not been exaggerating. At first he simply took in the wonder. ***This is Book 4 of the Elemental Dragon series. While this book can be read as a standalone novel, it is meant to be read as part of a series. References will be made to events in the other books without specific explanation in this book. If you would like to read the series from the beginning, start with The Arena.** I wake up alone to the shouts coming from just outside the main doors of the school. We opened our doors three months ago and everything was great…for about five minutes.

He grinned. Before anyone could contemplate what was about to happen, a deep roar shook the earth. Sending all of them backwards. Slamming them into trees. A black giant dragon suddenly and slowly emerged from the other side of the forest. Approaching the scene stealthily. Its rough skin was dark as obsidian and long claws which could cut through steel. Its eyes burn brightly like hot coals and an earth shattering roar left its mouth, its razor sharp talons which could tear through anything. The sight of the dragon sent tremors through the men and they retreat carefully.

Dark magic indeed, but I had come too far now to falter. With an apologetic whisper to any watching ancestors, I poured the substance across the safe's surface, completing the blasphemous ritual step-by-step just as Fox commanded. The engraved dragons appeared to twist and grimace in the flickering shadows. An agonizing minute crawled past. Then the sealed door swung open silently on oiled hinges. Shock rooted me in place briefly before I darted inside, scanning the shelves frantically. There, dusty and unremarkable - the Book of the Forgotten.
