His lips quivered in fear as he stared at the dragon's eyes, which were like flames and body, so ancient and dark. “What do you want?” Minerva asked absentmindedly as the dragon stared into her soul. It nudged her head, its snout as if he could read her mind. Then it looked away from her. Behind her, Vincent stood there, a protective hawk. He didn't like it that there was another watching out for Minerva. “I don't like this dragon,” Vincent murmured. Minerva would have laughed if they were not in a situation like this. The dragon tilted its head as if he heard what Vincent had said. Then it moved his attention back to Minerva.

I pause for a moment, “Have you found anything in the books?” Taran shakes his head, “No, history is completely different. Even the castle’s history is wrong. It was expanded in the 14th century and funded by an Earl thanking us for keeping the vampires from invading. These books say the Earl built it in the 14th century.” I turn and look at the mythology section of the library. Whispering, “I wonder,” I get up and begin looking for books on dragons. “What are we looking for now?” Taran asks curiously.

My expectations of hefty magic tomes full of spells were quickly dashed. Laney’s idea of books was limited to fairy tales about princesses and knights and, of course, magic. Not exactly what I had in mind. As far as she was concerned, if it didn’t interest her, it didn’t exist. “This one’s really good,” she informed me, holding up a thin novel called Loved By Two Dragons. “He’s a dragon, but he’s also a handsome boy. But his brother’s even more handsome, and he’s an even bigger dragon!”

The one my mother told about in the story. Seeing the diamond graffiti written in dark red liquid on its temple, I know it was that dragon. The vetrik Jihn drakon. A brownie, perhaps. I turned my back to the door. "I'm not hungry. Later." I said. I vaguely registered a sigh and shuffling of feet as the brownie left. "What the history will not tell you is that Dragons were not created by Luna. We existed. Even before Luna." I blinked at that, but said nothing, lest I interrupt her. "Before Luna, the mother, there were other gods that ruled the world. There were beings that walked the earth that were feared. Some still do. Like

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

“With the help of me and my four brothers. That first video is real, and it is my brother Mitchell. Each of my brothers' dragons is a different color. Mine happens to be red.” I just sat staring at him. “What about those dreams all those months ago?” “My great grandfather had a gift and I think I inherited it. Yet somehow this gift brought you into it. Somehow you experienced what I was.” “And this bonding dream? Are you saying we are bonded for life?” “Yeah. My dragon recognized you even through the dreams as my mate.” I look over at the TV and saw Draco the dragon. “You look like that only red?” He smiled as he looked at the screen, “I would like to think my dragon is nicer looking.”

Only Vertimon has books about dragons and from what she understood, he had gotten them from the old Demon king’s castle, the one her father had ruined while trying to save her mother from his brother, her uncle. There was no news or stories about the dragons except in the books and it was what made everyone believed them to be myth. Neither the wolves or vampires has ever heard about the dragons and she only got to know about them because growing up, she loved spending her time in Vertimon waters and so chanced upon the books. Even Vertimon himself had admitted not believing them to be real but since it was a book from the old demon king castle, maybe it was true, or maybe they are myth. And
