I want to run, but I’m too afraid. “I assure you, Tru. I am not doing this in gest. I don’t know why humans forgot about the night’s children and us. I’m going to find the answers, but I need someone to help me.” The fight is over in minutes. Bodies litter the ground. Some burnt from fire and others torn apart by teeth and talons. Six dragons lay on the ground. It’s clear they didn’t make it. I watch as a red dragon makes its way to the fallen ones. It lets out a roar, and the other dragons follow. Some lift the deceased dragons, while some begin to gather wood, and the others start burning what’s left on the field.

I say with a laugh. Gwen scoffs, turning her chin up, "You do realize that miniature Spitfires were the original mounts of dragon slayers? Dragons' slayers used them for centuries because they are small and fast. That was until you dragons took them from us and began using them for warfare," she states. “Dragons took the Spitfires from the slayers because they were being mistreated,” I huff with a hint of sadness. “They were savages, slayers were simply treating them according to their nature.
