Hello, everyone! This is XSkylar19. It has been a very interesting ride for me while writing Bane of the Dragons because (fun fact) this was my very first dragon genre. I know some of you probably disliked how everything turned out or how fastpaced everything happened but know that this was intentional as I couldn't drag the story on. Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre.

I get up and follow him. ______________________________ Drake Since early in the morning, I wander to the village and be thinking about how I will enter the castle without causing suspicion. I walk among the humble houses without having a specific direction. The kids around me are screaming happily as they play. At some point as I pass, I notice two men talking upon a wheelbarrow that had sacks full of something, barley, I suppose.

New changes needed to be made and maybe this could one of them. Drake knew this new change, mixing the wolves and dragons, was dangerous. They both knew, but to live apart? It was too much. The new pack house would house both dragons and wolves with their bedroom on the upper floor. They would have to be careful of conflicts later on. Dragons and wolves had rival tempers.

Visions flashed in front of Nya’s eyes as she tried to rectify what she’d been seeing for the last several days with the scene before her now. All along, she’d thought she’d been seeing Slate in his dragon form in chains, but that wasn’t what she’d been seeing at all. It was this other dragon, the one rising up in front of her now. He looked anything but happy as his nostrils began to flare, and it was quite obvious this dragon’s duty was to protect the Heart of Magic, which Nya could no longer see as it was hidden behind the dragon’s large back.

Even so, they are still dragons and are incredibly powerful compared to the common species. Even the lowest of them are at least B class monsters. Earth drakes, in particular, have much a tankier build with larger body mass.
