~Author’s POV~ "This track is called the Serpent's Back. It's a narrow road that goes up a mountain. There's no fence. Just a big drop off the side. People have crashed here. One guy died last year," Simon said, his eyes shining with amusement. Harriet listened, but she didn't look scared. She was looking at her car, a simple silver Mazda. She touched it. It looked old, but she could tell it had been taken care of. The tires were good. The engine sounded smooth and strong.

Drakes. A type of dragon that is smaller in size and cannot fly. Drakes are considered a lower class dragon due to their traits, including their lesser strength as well. Even so, they are still dragons and are incredibly powerful compared to the common species. Even the lowest of them are at least B class monsters. Earth drakes, in particular, have much a tankier build with larger body mass.

THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW All elements went rogue. As Adhira turns into a monster that everyone fears, the ground starts shaking and unceasingly spanks. It was already raining dark fire in every kingdom, as all the waters turn into acid that could annihilate anything in an instant. The wind gets rough, and destroys anything it could pass through. There was sudden lavish darkness that made the entire realm disastrous. And right now, all they see is the girl levitating in the air, surrounded by an energy barrier while six dragons of different elements guarding her. Her blood-red eyes are piercing through their souls. Her hair turns black which resembles darkness.

I turn back towards the front and begin getting my stuff out when Kevin plops down next to me. "So where's your little boyfriend?" Kevin mocks. "What are you talking about?" I reply in annoyance. "You know the Draven guy at the festival the other day." Kevin says with a sirk. "You know what they say about the Draven's don't you?" He continues. "They say they are evil vampires and anyone who is around them for too long disappears never to be seen again." He finishes. Suddenly a loud thunk sound comes from my other side and I look to see Victor pulling out the chair next to me. I look back at Kevin who wears a smirk on his face.

He just wipes his mouth with his sleeves, turns around and walks away. My throat closes up as the screen turns black. I think I’m traumatized. I barely notice as Drake reaches forward and takes the burning tablet from my hands. I barely notice when he covers my trembling fingers with one palm, stroking it softly. “This… this isn’t real,” I whisper, my voice cracking. “Why would he do something like that…?” “Because Harlan Kane is a fucking monster,” Drake snarls, his voice burning with conviction. “He doesn’t care who gets hurt, whose life he destroys, as long as he gets what he wants.”

Drake revealed, making Dale open and close his mouth like a fish in shock. "What?" he asked with utter confusion. Drake expected this reaction, so he is not so surprised. Mason, Dillon, and Cedric know this is supposed to happen at a certain point. So they didn't stop Drake. Instead, they silently stood behind him, supporting his decision. "I am a dragon Dale. Me and Mason, we are not humans like you guys are thinking. We are dragons. I came here for my mate. That is none other than your princess Nyra" Drake revealed.

Nicholas I drive for a while. Something isn't right, but I can't put my finger on it. Cielo not seeming upset about Sly's death, I can understand. It's shitty, but I get it. Sly was not a warm, loving father. For outward appearances, he was exactly as he should be, of course, but behind closed doors, he was a fucking monster. If it was just towards me, maybe that would have made sense in some bizarre universe, in some backwards logic, but he also beat his acknowledged son. I saw that firsthand, and he was merciless when he did it, as merciless as when he beat me.
