he begged. Well, he should have thought about that before pushing me to the ground. Now, he acted as if I had done something wrong by not immediately helping him. "Give me control!" Monster spoke up. "I just need to shift, and with Draca's help, I should be able to get rid of them!" he boasted. Draca initially scoffed but eventually agreed. "As much as I don't like this foolish collaboration, that human girl needs to survive, so I'll help this once."

He goes into a relaxed stance but it's still stiff as a board. Drake looks at my bloody towel. "Please tell me you got something." I leaned against a bookshelf across from Drake's desk and cross my feet, still wiping my fingers. "Oh, I got something, but you're not going to like it." Drake leans back in his chair and rubs his forehead. "Report." He sighed. I put my hands down on the bookshelf. "It's the Dragons. Specifically, Karver." I glance between Drake and River.

She paused, her eyes distant with terrible memories. "Drake doesn't just kill, he destroys souls. Just like yours... you remember, don't you?" I collapsed onto a rock, my legs giving out beneath me. The letter fell from my hands, and I buried my face in my palms.

But I could clearly feel that something massive had happened. Because the usually steady and calm Alpha Kael was so panicked that the blade dropped from his hand with a clang. It sounded like many pack warriors had rushed into the sacred altar room. I heard countless messy footsteps, hurried and heavy, rushing toward me. Then came the incredibly noisy shouting. There were men and women, voices filled with anxiety and fear.

In just a day, the kingdom had lost countless soldiers, as well as civilians at the hands of monsters – which weren't even monster grande. Then she heard and deep roar and scream, assuming it was the creature After a moment, she opened her eyes again, not feeling the impact of the creatures foot. She looked up and saw the black draekon with its jaws around the monsters neck, pinning it to the ground with his claws. The monster was flailing, screeching out into the treetops. But the draekon kept it pinned, digging its claws into the creatures chest. The draekon tensed, and closed its jaw tighter and ripped the throat out of the creature, silencing its screams and ending it's flailing.

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”
