Sometimes I fear that I might be a ticking time bomb.
"To Your son we pray, Amen," Gian finally finished, letting go of both our hands. I, however, did not let go of her hand. I ran my thumb in small circles on the back of her palm. When she felt the electricity run through her, she withdrew it with a harsh pull. I chuckled to myself. But then my smile disappeared when she reached for the wine bottle, poured herself a glass full before drinking it halfway.
She eyes me. There's lust in her eyes, and annoyance. She's fucking challenging me. With what? Seeing who's getting drunk first? 'Cause it’s not going to be her. I gave her a small nod, before reaching for the peas.
