Flashback It was an afternoon like any other, but Damien couldn’t tear his eyes away from her. Aria was sitting on the edge of the fountain, sketching something in her notebook. She was deep in concentration, her fingers moving gracefully across the pages as the soft breeze tugged at her hair, which fell in perfect waves around her shoulders. Damien stared at her, completely absorbed, his thoughts momentarily consumed by how effortlessly beautiful she was. It wasn’t just her looks though she had those, in abundance, but the way she existed in the world, with an ease and confidence that drew everyone’s attention without her ever trying.

[Primus] The pale drakaina on the other side of the mirror blinks slowly at Orion, her movements delayed and her image shaking, as if it were cast in sand. She’s pale, like a moon dragon with the same dark hair and eyes, with a iridescent scale pattern along her ears, eyes, and horns that looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Her features, in our more typical bipedal form, are almost human soft, with full cheeks and soft rosy lips. If it weren’t for the perfection of her more draconic features and the spark of power behind her gaze, I’d make the mistake of thinking she is weak–one of the lesser hybrids with too much humanity bred into them.

Alpha Carlo teased us, chuckling and making me blush more. Fortunately, the Luna came to the rescue. She elbowed Alpha Carlo and took over the conversation. "Don't mind him. He should have introduced me to you, not teased you." She smiled before extending her hand to me. "I'm Helena, the Luna of Crimson Howl. It's Amerie, right? Nice to finally meet you, Amerie. I hear a lot about you." The way she behaved reminded me of my mother. She was indeed the real Luna.

It was unlike all the other portraits that were hung in the room, it was different. It wasn't obvious and didn't look like it had a literal meaning, the portrait looked majestic in a self-proclaimed kind of way. Not only that, but it had the painting of a lady in white attire, with dark shades on her. She was elegant and had blue eyes. She had a silver wolf close to her, and Ariel eyed suspiciously. “Is she the Luna?” She asked. She wasn't sure who the questions were directed at, but they sure weren't getting any answers. She felt as if she was being watched and her eyes trailed upward to the stairs, as she saw the Alpha, Damien, staring at her.

"The what?" Aiden proudly lifted the parchment, presenting it with a triumphant flourish. It was a masterpiece of terrible stick figures. There was a tall, blocky man with a jagged golden crown, a woman wearing an oversized silver tiara, a small blob representing a little boy, a giant black dog with six legs, a glowing stick figure surrounded by yellow loops, and a final girl drawn with aggressively angry V-shaped eyebrows. Kael let out a long, dry sigh. "Let me guess. The one with the furious eyebrows is your long-lost aunt?"

"Today changes everything." Cole nodded. "It certainly does." For several moments, neither of them spoke. Instead... They simply looked at one another. Then... Ria laughed softly. "Can you believe it? After everything... We've finally won." Cole's own smile widened. "It almost feels unreal." He walked toward the large window overlooking the palace grounds. "The boy who always stood behind Oliver... Is about to sit on his throne." He chuckled. Ria joined him. "And the woman everyone expected to become Luna..." She smiled at her reflection in the glass. "Finally will."

and I knew that I wasn’t imagining it at all. “Draco is here?” a feminine voice asked from inside, and I took in the sight of the most beautiful woman that I had seen in years. The smile on her face widened even more as she looked over at Roman. “Is it finally happening?” she asked, and Roman nodded. “He will be making her his Luna soon.” She walked over to me, dumping all the dishes that she was carrying on the table. She ran her hands through my face. “How are you? What’s your name?”

she repeated. He chuckled and ran his hand through his dark hair, which caught the light of the moon and made it look like satin threads. “My name is Slate,” he told her, looking her right in the eyes. “I know the dragon well, Princess, because… I am the dragon.”

“We have to get out of here. Draco is going to use us to make them do his will. What if he demands for their life in exchange for ours?” Clint is right. Xena and Diana will do anything for us and Draco knows it. A few minutes later, a chaos breaks loose in the Deep as the women show us how it is done. We might be stronger, but they are masters at this psychological game. It did not take long for Draco to have a complete mental breakdown. The witches must still remember Diana and her teeth, because they look terrified when they see her. It is not just Diana, the women look so mean and so hot with their razor-sharp teeth going through the multitudes of witches.

I stood behind her so that they would have a full view of her; after all, she was the Luna. “On behalf of the alpha, I want to specially welcome you all to our pack, Axelland,” Lyra said warmly, her voice carrying authority yet kindness. “Most of you know me as I have been with you for the past year. But for those who don’t know me, my name is Lyra. I am Damien’s mate, and this is Denise, his sister. He has been incredibly busy, but he extends his wishes and says he will come and see you when he has the time.”
