~ The cloud rumbled, Heavy patter of rain drops on the roof awoke the sleeping Mareili. She rubbed her eyes and it took her a long moment to process that it was already morning.. Hm, she loved this. She loved it when she wakes to see a rainy weather. It makes her believe nature was trying to tell her to make peace with her soul and not trouble it with sadness. She propped herself up with a soft pillow, this time Leon wasn't by her side to surprise or rather shock her and she began to ponder if he had left already. She thought of calling him but immediately canceled the thought. She she slipped out of the bed and stood before her floor length framed mirror where she saw a horror of herself.

I don’t recall her waking up or hearing her whimpering, so I think it’s safe to assume she didn’t have nightmares of her pack being attacked. My usual nightmares, the never-ending loop of every death at my hands, or Chesed’s claws was put on hiatus. You might think that’s a good thing. But no, it was worse. I would rather have re-lived all that death than this new form of torture my mind has created.

Caitlyn awoke with a start, her heart racing and her breath sharp in her chest. The remnants of the dream clung to her like a fog she couldn’t shake. In the darkness of her mind, flashes of an ancient, buried temple had danced before her eyes. She saw a chained wolf, its eyes glowing with a deep, unnerving hunger, surrounded by an endless blackness. And then, her own reflection—a version of herself that wasn’t quite right—whispering, “It’s not over.”

My dreams were plagued with those same creatures again. I would wake up and hear the sounds they were making, the terrible screeching noises. And I would scream in frustration. And scream and scream and scream, until someone finally came running into my bedroom. Jaxton. Of course. Always Jaxton. Even in the nightmare, I never knew it could be so real.

My voice quivered as I spoke and continued to recount my recurring nightmares. "I'm trapped in that dark room and I can hear his voice whispering, taunting me and I can feel his hands on me. I can't see him, but I know he's there, lurking in the shadows, waiting to hurt me again.And no matter how hard I try, I can't escape it. I can't escape him." I sighed and looked down at my trembling hands. "We're here for you, Dannie. We'll help you through this. You're safe now." Alyssa said as she gently squeezed my hand.

"No." Marra cleared her throat. "I hate to say this, but the saying I'm referring to says that a dream reflects longing. Maybe you missed me." Confidence made Marra feel as small as a flea. "No, no way. Forget that. If you feel that the dream is bothering you, why not just buy an antidote." "What antidote?" "Dream catcher, try buying that and putting it near your bed." "A child's toy?" Why did Denis have to have such a silly side that made Marra want to bash his head in, "It's not a kid's toy, I don't know. I'm just giving you a suggestion, so try it. She uncomfortably tosses In the bed as if having a nightmare with a little sweat on her forehead as sharp breath escapes her lips constantly with her eyes close. She flipped her eyes open in horror. She started wondering if. Maxwell is alright. She laid back on the bed staring at the ceiling as if in deep thought, she blinked a few times. Sleep Is out of her reach.

And I'm not sure if you're familiar with dream catchers, but they are supposed to keep the bad dreams at bay if you put them over your bed. I figure if I have you in my arms, those dreams get to me before they get to you. I want to stop them before they start."
