The room was deathly silent except for the frantic beat of my heart in my ears. His low voice and the one from my dreams overlapped, weaving into a single key that unlocked my carefully built self-deception with a sharp click. He was Mr. Y—the man who sang off-key love songs to me at midnight, and the very same one who had chastised me relentlessly in the day. I stared at him. His handsome face was so close, and the usual coldness and distance were gone, replaced by a fragile, pleading vulnerability. The light in his eyes flickered like a candle tossed all night by a stormy wind.

♫ A story, A story, A story to tell The young ones; their eyes are sparkling like gold and diamonds. Happy dreams and laughing smiles, The truth of today is far from reality. Souls wander about the earth, searching for what is not to be. Can hope be restored? Can peace shower on us like rain; comforting our souls- our tired souls? A story, A tale. Could it be a fantasy? Is it just a mere wish? How can I smile a happy smile? When will I drink the milk of peace?

Lyra My sleep is restless. It is filled with the red glow of fire. I dream of my mother, her hand around mine as she pulls me through town. Flames roar all around me, consuming buildings and businesses, uncaring of the homes or the people within them. I dream of her death—of the fire that rained upon her from above, like a divine retribution against her very existence. I dream of her screams, of her flesh bubbling and boiling before falling off her bones. This dream reveals more to me now, however. The other shouting around me, the fire that streams from above in relentless arches, claiming the townspeople below just as they claimed mother.

She sings and sings, putting all her emotions into the song and making each line of the song be well understood by her dad, not that he can't understand but rather, she wants to make every word in the lyric tell her dad all that she feels and more. 'Cause every night I lie in bed... The brightest colors fill my head... A million dreams... Are keeping me awake...... I think of what the world could be. A vision of the one I see... A million dreams... Is all it's gonna take... A million dreams for the world we gonna make................

Then why can't you relate your dreams to the future? And I don't understand why you feel suffering when you have dreams. Anyone cannot be lost in this world until they have dreams. Just like the clouds cluttered in this lost sky, you have me to endure your dreams and a fainted image has been memorized in my view. "Amanda Parker, wake up I'm telling you this the last time." a fainted voice, engraved in my mind and before I could open my eyes. I had thousands of sprinkles of water on me. Like a splash in the midnight of the ocean, my thoughts were damped in the water.

Every step is a new opportunity, To achieve dreams and reach for the stars. In the midst of storms and crashing waves, We endure with faith and fortitude. Be patient, oh weary and battered soul, For every trial is a field of learning. Big dreams bubble up in your heart, Like stars shining brightly. But remember success starts from here, With small, passionate steps. In the silence of the heart, I write poetry, The mirror of the soul opens, beautiful flavors flow. Every page of a book is a window to the world, A door to infinite knowledge.
