The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

The ache in my chest was more than emotional; it was physical, a visceral manifestation of years of unmet expectations and unspoken longings. I sank to the floor, the cool tiles a stark contrast to the feverish tumult within me. Each sob was a release, a cathartic purging of pent-up sorrow and self-doubt. The mirror reflected back a broken image, a shattered facade that masked the profound ache of a wounded soul.

The man is so cruel and mean. I really don't understand Avery. She seems like an intelligent person but she is a pushover unfortunately. I'll keep reading though, hoping she becomes fierce and kicks his ass.

Here to correct a review I mistakenly left for a different book with a similar premise. As far as THIS novel, the author really does a great job writing in a way that makes you feel like you're there. The FL is pathetic at times, but likeable as hell. The ML though? Pathetic is an understatement lol

Wind Chill

Wind Chill

Please, for the love of God, stop! She finally stumbled and fell, drowning up to her waist in one of the mounds shoveled beside the road. She fought to free herself while the projector continued its show. Cold inside and out numbed her into submission as she felt the loss sink into her heart and learned that not all of it belonged to her.

Stealing the Heart of Mr. Steele

Stealing the Heart of Mr. Steele

I'm sorry that I won't get a chance to watch us grow old together. Drowning is excruciating. The saltwater filling your lungs burns as you cough, struggling to find air. Your large, gasping breaths are futile as you release the last of your oxygen into the fluid around you. Your mind starts to create hallucinations as you lose the last of your air. Like right now. I see Atlas' shining face. His whole body seems to glow with brilliance as he swims towards me. The angel of death taking on my husband's form is a kindness of my mind. If I am to die, let it be in his embrace.

Leave Me Alone, Ex-husband

Leave Me Alone, Ex-husband

The world around me blurs as I navigate through a sea of emotions, consumed by a mixture of heartbreak, frustration, and a profound sense of loneliness. It is raining, but I don't care. My mind is filled with sorrow. The divorce settlement, Megan's harsh comments, her accident, and Geroge's apathy toward me are too much to take in. I walk with a heavy heart, my steps faltering with each beat of sorrow resonating within me. The raindrops pelt against my skin, mingling with my tears, as if the heavens themselves shared in my anguish. I am drenched, my clothes clinging to my body, but the physical discomfort is insignificant compared to the torment I feel within.

Stepbrother; My Salvation

Stepbrother; My Salvation

The what-ifs and maybes swirled in my head, each one a sharp jab to my already fragile heart. As I navigated the dark waters of heartbreak, I felt like I was drowning. The pain was suffocating, making it hard to breathe. I didn't know how to escape the heartache, didn't know how to make it stop. All I could do was stand there, frozen in agony, and let the emotions consume me.

Blood Moon Reckoning

Blood Moon Reckoning

Estella curled into herself, seeking shelter from the storm both outside and within. Estella stood at the edge of the deep lake, her heart heavy with pain and despair. The water stretched out before her, dark and unfathomable, mirroring the turmoil within her soul. For a fleeting moment, she entertained the thought of letting herself be consumed by the icy depths, of escaping the crushing weight of her grief. With a heavy heart and tears streaming down her cheeks, Estella took a step forward, her body moving almost with its own. The chill of the water seeped into her bones as she plunged into its depths, the weight of her grief dragging her down into the darkness.

Mated to my Enemy Alpha King

Mated to my Enemy Alpha King

I can’t think about others, or myself. Isn’t that why I came for him in the first place? How...pathetic Avery. But he won’t be able to reach you today, Avery. He won’t catch you again, Avery. His lungs will give out and then, he will rise to the surface alone. My heart twists inside my chest, drowning behind the pain caused by the poisonous water. I am so close to opening my mouth, or inhaling a breath. Just a little and I will be gone forever. He won’t catch me then. No one will hurt me again.

When are we getting the next book?!! It's such a good story like all SYs books. Frustrating at parts with the characters not communicating with each other but loved it other all and didn't want it to end

Alpha of the Shadows

Alpha of the Shadows

Deep, alive, drowning. I’d miss looking at those eyes. I couldn’t help the cry that left my throat. It was a guttural, soul-wrenching wail—raw and unrestrained—as if the grief itself clawed its way out of my chest. It wasn't just a sound of sorrow; it was the kind of cry that tore through silence like a storm, born from the unbearable weight of watching the man I loved fade away. It held all the shattered dreams, the aching what-ifs, and the terrifying reality of facing a future without him.

LOVE LOST, LOVE FOUND

LOVE LOST, LOVE FOUND

I knew that I would never be the same again. As I lay on the floor, I felt like I was drowning in a sea of despair. The pain and the heartache were suffocating me, making it hard for me to breathe. I couldn't believe that Gael had left me like that, without even looking back. I buried my face in my hands and let out a loud, anguished cry. The sound echoed through the empty hallway, a haunting reminder of my own despair. I felt like I was shattering into a million pieces, like my heart was breaking into fragments that could never be put back together again.

Alpha Hockey Star's Forbidden Obsession

Alpha Hockey Star's Forbidden Obsession

I thought about how I could not swim well enough to save myself in the deep end, especially wearing this heavy uniform. I hit the water hard. This wasn't some nasty Kdrama. I was actually drowning and there was nobody coming to save me. Regardless of the fact that I knew this particular room was soundproof, I still managed to cry for help, hoping some miracle would happen. "Help!" I choked out, my eyes burning from the chlorine. Pathetic. Just when I thought I was finally getting the air I deserved…. Was this how I was going to really die? Ah, I hate whomever the culprit is. I hate Ace. I hate Drew. I hate everybody who contributed to my terrible fate.
