Duel Runners Novels & Stories

On the contrary, he was determined to win the duel with his utmost effort. "See you later," Kharel said, who then had to part ways with his two good friends to change into his battle armor. There are four separate sets for the final round, so four pairs of duelists can duel simultaneously. This will shorten the time and allow the results to be announced quickly. According to the numbers, Niall Anderson will be the first of the three young men to enter the final round. Niall took nearly thirty minutes to defeat his opponent and managed to score very high points.

He gave the hammer a few practice swings while waiting for the duel timer to reach zero as well, all while retaining his casual expression. (Duels usually take on two forms in Immortal Era; Sparring and Deathmatch. In a sparring duel, the match is decided when one manages to get the opponent's HP down to 10%, where the system would forcefully end the match, granting the other person the victory. This format is usually done by persons willing to compare moves or are within the confines of the safe zone of a village/town/city. As for deathmatch, it is just as the name suggests, a fight to the death. This format can only be utilized outside of all safe zones and is usually meant to settle grudg

I smiled wide instantly, excitement bubbling up because I had always heard whispers about this at the academy—the legendary duel where two challengers fought hand-to-hand, no weapons allowed, and the winner earned one wish granted by the kings themselves, anything reasonable like land, title, or favor. “No way,” I whispered, thrilled to Varynia. “The Crown’s Wish Duel? For real tonight?” She grinned back just as excited. “Hell yes! It’s rare, but when it happens, it’s epic. Brutal, but epic.” The challengers entered, A lord Harlan, that burly western march lord built like a tank, and then Nyra, striding in confidently with her fighting leathers on, hair tied back fierce. My mood soured immed

There’s a brief moment of applause and cheer. But then he speaks again. “However, by special request, an additional duel has been sanctioned before we can proceed to the final duels that would crown the final winner.” Silence ensues within the crowd. “He will now face… Valerys Winthrope, the undefeated.” The silence doesn’t last long. Gasps erupt. Murmurs flare. Shock, disbelief, terror...like a ripple of fire moving through dry grass. «Valerys Winthrope? The mad warrior? The killer with a whisper? The beast with a face like a broken mountain?»

I said, my voice resounding. Alan turned his gaze to me, his hands already trembling in fear. “And to sweeten the rules of this contest,” I added. “This shall be a duel to the death.” The courtyard erupted, roars filling the air. And the duel began. Alan roared… if one could even call that a roar. It sounded too thin in my ears, like a gamma who had grown comfortable in herbs and potions. He threw himself towards Seav, letting his claws out. Any fool would expect Seav to cower. But her size was no disadvantage. It was her greatest weapon and she used it.

With somewhere to be, I nodded gently and rushed out to the fields, gazing at the large groups of men and women standing around in a circle. They all turned my way when the breeze blew in their direction, carrying my scent along with it. Instantly they split, revealing the center to be Jordan and another person fighting. My eyes focus to see James as the fighter, lunging at Jordan. I walk up to the front, my hands stuffed in the pockets of my jeans. Jordan stepped James' attack, letting the beta dig his heels to the ground. Quickly, my mate ran to him, sliding down at the very last second and taking James down by the legs. He fell, surprised for a millisecond before jumping right back up.

SUDDEN EVENT: DEATH-MATCH – TERMS TWO CONTESTANTS. ONE SURVIVOR. NO FORFEITS. NO DRAW. “Begin,” the Game said. A secondary bell tolled, higher and sharper than the one that had started my duel. The timer under their names began to count down. 01:00 I slammed my hands against the barrier again, even knowing it was useless. Pain tore through my skull in white threads. The system’s warning hissed hotter. “Then damage me,” I snarled in my head. “Take my access. Take my pen. Take—”

"The victor is Malcom of Riverpack! The mate of Lady Elsie has been decided! Let all present witness and honor the judgment of the duel!" Elsie's mother rose from her seat, her expression unreadable. Her father stood beside her, his jaw tight. "It is done," Garrath said, his voice low. "The duel is over. Malcom is the victor." Elsie did not answer. She could not. Her throat was too tight, her chest too heavy. She looked down at the arena, at Finnick's still form, at the blood spreading across the sand. She looked at Malcom, triumphant, his eyes finding hers, his smile wide.

Even refusing the duel no longer seemed like an option if he intended to force it upon me. Yet accepting it felt no different from walking willingly toward my own execution. Levi watched every emotion pass across my face before the corner of his mouth lifted into a cold, victorious smile. "So now that you understand," he said evenly, "allow me to explain the rules." My fingernails dug into my palms, but I remained silent. "The Kael'Rhun is a formal duel recognized by the Moon Goddess herself. The rules are simple. Both challengers may use any weapon of their choosing. However, neither participant is permitted to kill the other or inflict injuries that are permanently life changing or immedia
