Ciara’s POV (Short Chapter) We reached the tree line behind my house, our wolves looking like drowned, soggy balls of fur. The rainy weather continued its summer afternoon assault from the blackened skies. Our wolves shake the water out of their fur. I know both our wolves have enjoyed playing with each other, but I feel all mentally pruney.

"Dark... you giant dog, that hurt so much. Be careful next time, will you?" Dark seemed to hum a rumbling sound. It was cut off immediately as White leaped from his perch. He shoved Dark off of her in an instant, and the two tumbled to the floor. Dust billowed around them as they snapped at one another, lashing out with sharp nails and fierce teeth. Every day they rolled around together. Fur in black and white lashed out at one another as they playfully tried to rip each other’s throats out. It would be adorable if Pearl was being honest.

Something landed on the roof of the truck with a bang, distracting the feral before a blur of gold jumped onto the black and sable wolf. A flurry of snapping teeth and snarls erupted from the two wolves as they fought. Lucas was stunned. It took a moment to realise that the thing attacking the feral was another wolf. A much bigger one. Where had this this one come from? They were clearly a werewolf but not one Lucas recognised from the files they had on the Blue Mountain pack.

Little shrills came from the white-coated animal. For being outdoors and not a pet, its fur was ridiculously white with a hint of blue hue. The face was small and pointed, the tail big and feathery, reminding me of a fox or raccoon. Fluffy brought it to Creed, his tail wagging like a dog instead of its saunter wagging like a cat.

The only other colored fur was near the head in a form of a black mohawk that slid along its spine a few feet; stopping about mid-way on a normal cat's back. It slid down and landed with next to no sound, its eyes watching me as it waited. "Kasey, this is Sorscha, she is my familiar. She's what you mortals call a Tatzelwurm." Latifa walked over to the beast that's head was half the size of Latifa. Its paws are bigger than the width of my chest. It was huge! "How.....did...." I looked back at the small shadowy corner it came from in complete shock and confusion.
