Blood of the Black Moon

Blood of the Black Moon

Moonrise came like the edge of a blade. They reached the dunes by twilight—an ocean of glass-sand that shifted with its own quiet breath. Heat clung to the ground despite the cold sky, as if the earth remembered being fire and refused to forget. Mirel—the seer who’d found them under the broken bridge—walked a half-pace ahead, cane sinking into the dunes with soft, resigned sounds. “Here,” she said at last, pointing to a patch of sand so ordinary it might have been overlooked a hundred times. “Don’t step, not yet. Listen.”

The Honeymoon of Death

The Honeymoon of Death

Without hesitation, I began climbing the building while using the iron window frames and air conditioning units for support. As I steadied myself on a third-floor unit, a sudden explosion erupted above me. Thick, black smoke billowed out. The air around me was scorching. I instinctively recoiled as burning debris flew past my face. Furniture fragments crashed to the ground with a loud thud, causing the crowd below to scatter in fear. "Caroline, come down now! Don't go any higher!" "You're important too. Please, don't risk your life like this!" Their pleas echoed below, but I simply smiled in response. I took a deep breath to steel myself before pressing forward.

Gone With the Quiet Wind

Gone With the Quiet Wind

"A shell of her former self, eh? That's spot on, Grandpa. Let's just focus on ourselves from now on. They're nothing to us." He nodded in agreement. "I won't get worked up because of her anymore. We'll live well together." Jolene dropped by not long after. She came bearing gifts for Bruce, but didn't plead for Leon. "Bruce, I'll get to the end of this. I'm just glad you're alright." Bruce didn't give her a warm response. She felt guilty and left on her own. However, she felt an odd sense of emptiness growing inside her as she walked away, leaving her increasingly uneasy. She lit a cigarette—something she hadn't touched in a long time.

I genuinely love this book, only problems I have with it is the fact that he never actually travels with the people he gets to join him (hattie Mia etc) I wish there were more interaction between them all. second is that there are only 2 or so chapters a day....I have plenty of coins to waste...

I believe no updates is due to the platform not the authors themselves. Many of the books I’m reading are not updated as well. It is possible the authors are not able to upload their chapters on the platform

The Deal with the Billionaire Devil

The Deal with the Billionaire Devil

“If there were a book three, the title would be Dusk?” “Midnight is a transition, darkness, silence, the feeling of loneliness and loss. Dawn is hope, and if Dawn is as successful as Midnight, then the third book will be Nightfall, but it’s not exactly the time of day. It’s a locale mentioned in the book.” “Okay. No more spoilers, T.S. Prince.” “You’re not mad?” “About you being the author, and making me look like a fool?” He chuckled. “I wanna bite you right now, but it can wait until I come back from the trip.”

Light & Darkness: Book 2

Light & Darkness: Book 2

Miguel, on the other hand, looked for it on the Internet, in various online stores and auctions. Unfortunately, it turned out that this book had only a few copies and was therefore extremely difficult to find. Most shops either did not know about its existence or never had this book in their collections and only heard legends about it. It could mean two things - either this book simply did not exist, or it was so dangerous that only the initiated had it in their book collections. Maria rejected the first option because she trusted her dreams and gut feelings now even more than before. Therefore, Miguel believed that the second option must be true, and it gave him hope that if they could get

Midwinter Town: A Novella

He left the room. A fierce winter covered the forests with heavy snow-clusters and icicles, and filled ravines to their edges with drifts, so that the whole land seemed a single white plain. Great, sudden storms came, in which men and herds were lost under the pall of snow; roads grew misleading and perilous. A lonely Jaweldur howled in the distance.

DAWN

DAWN

This is London and one must master the art of doing things at a tender age. It was few minutes past 5:pm. Tami and Kiki had gone out to play after eating the rice I made with yesterday's leftover sauce. I sat on the bench outside reading 'The Trial of Dedan Kimathi' my mother earlier bought for me. The more I read about Dedan's trial as portrayed by Wathiango in the novel, the more motivated I get towards the demolition issue. "This is the book of the moment. " I muttered to myself. I stopped reading for a while. I brought out my piggy bank and smiled at it's visible content from the tiny hole. I was glad I had been saving enough. The income I have been generating from my cookies sales was c

Supernova book 1

Suddenly, he felt a strange vibration throughout his body and looked up to see unfamiliar words written on the cave wall. With a burst of light, the words disappeared, and he saw the light shoot up to the moon, surrounded by a shimmering dance of stars. He followed the light until he found himself in the maternity ward of Corer Hospital. The light stopped at Ward 119, and he heard the cry of a newborn baby.
