“I need to go. Make sure one of you is with her for the whole time.” When I took the lift to the dungeon, one of the war team was already waiting for me in the hall of the dungeon. The dungeon was actually just our term for a three-level basement that Zephyr had built to maximise the use of the hideout. The north dungeon is right below the dorm. It’s for the lab and also the clinic.

Quickly, I stepped inside the house and found Damon sitting with his legs crossed in the main parlor. "Where are they?" I asked him as I watched him sip from my father's favorite whiskey glass. "I'm sure you were aware of the basement of this house. It has miles and miles of catacombs and a prison. They're in one of those. It's quite amazing downstairs," he said, pointing to a seat. Then he looked different. The air around him seemed to be moving differently, as though it was trying to stay away from him. "You look scary," I said as I lowered myself down to the seat. He shrugged as he took a sip of the whiskey.

They moved with precision and calculated brutality, leaving no room for mercy. Finally, they reached the depths of the basement, where Brenda’s cries had long been drowned out by her captor’s sadistic games. Damien’s heart pounded with a mix of fear and anticipation as he pushed open the heavy door, its rusty hinges creaking in protest. The basement was colder than the floors above. Long corridors stretched in every direction, lined with sealed doors bearing faded numbers.

Jordan tentatively asked, "Dad, do you still remember how you ended up in the hospital?" Matteo humphed, "Isn't it because you two are biased and treat Zoey badly?" At this moment, I saw Jordan and Daria both seem to breathe a sigh of relief. Matteo looked at me, "Zoey, what did you just say about the basement? What's that about?" I said straightforwardly, "There is a basement under the dining table in the Harmon's villa dining room, are you aware of this?" Matteo frowned, "Basement? I can't remember."
