The forests were swarming with warriors. With nowhere else to go, Caleb had led us out into rogue territory. Somehow, he knew of this crappy shack. After locating Mammoth Courtyard’s blueprint plan, she took a screenshot and sent it to Jenson. After studying the blueprint plan, Jenson realized that the reconstructed Tourmaline Estate had a basement. The entrance was extremely hidden and connected all the way downstairs to the basement. The dungeon was actually just our term for a three-level basement that Zephyr had built to maximise the use of the hideout. The north dungeon is right below the dorm. It’s for the lab and also the clinic.

Will she have an excuse? As we reach the bottom floor, Dez leads me around the corner toward a door I’ve noticed before but never realized was to be dreaded. When he opens it, the smell of must and mildew hits me square in the face, and having spent months in a basement apartment, I know at once that this is the door that leads down to the dungeon, a place I’ve heard about but wished I’d never see. We head down the stairs, only a bare bulb lighting our way, but our eyes are better than most people’s. Before we reach the floor, Dez mutters, “I wish Sebastian was here.”

I wonder exactly how many were found as I follow Dimitri to the Dungeon. Dungeon is a pretty accurate word. It's a stone underground bunker made of stone. No matter how much it's cleaned, it's always foul smelling. The walls always look wet. The floors are the only thing that looks halfway clean and there's blood stains on most of them. Dimitri leads me into one of the rooms that I've used to torture men before. I don't like to do it but some days it is necessary. Today is one of those days.

Quickly, I stepped inside the house and found Damon sitting with his legs crossed in the main parlor. "Where are they?" I asked him as I watched him sip from my father's favorite whiskey glass. "I'm sure you were aware of the basement of this house. It has miles and miles of catacombs and a prison. They're in one of those. It's quite amazing downstairs," he said, pointing to a seat. Then he looked different. The air around him seemed to be moving differently, as though it was trying to stay away from him. "You look scary," I said as I lowered myself down to the seat. He shrugged as he took a sip of the whiskey.
