"Just hear me out with what I say." Turning his attention to me, I watched as his eyes moved towards my middle. It was an unnatural, pulsing pull that I just couldn't even name. Finally, the servant stopped in front of two enormous doors guarded by four armed warriors who pushed the doors open. The moment I stepped inside, the temperature dropped even further. The air so chilly that it should have made me shiver, but weirdly... I wasn't cold anymore. Instead, that strange, nameless sensation inside me flared again. The room was a study with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a crackling fireplace. At the far end of the room by the window was Draven.

There was a table. Books stacked on it. Not like the ones I used to see at home. These looked older. Some of them had markings on the covers I didn’t understand. I walked closer. My fingers hovered over one of them before I touched it. The cover felt rough. Worn. I opened it slowly. The pages were filled with symbols. Not letters. Not words I knew. Shapes. Lines. Things that looked like drawings but weren’t. I frowned. “What is this…?” I flipped a page.

The sources of these books were rogue dragons that had escaped from Islandia. However humans after deriving this information from these creatures were not all that kind to them, as most of them were lynched if they were caught. This had been going on for a very long time and had fanned the embers of hatred in the hearts of the two sides that eventually led to the fatal war. The only town that was welcoming of these creatures was Dineria and they prospered greatly. Of course, they were treated like outcasts by other human kingdoms.

There were large leather-bound books, most of which looked shabby due to dust or old age. An old gold-bound book with foliage ornaments was located on the topmost bookshelf. It looked the thickest of all the books there. I was curious and looked at the contents. This book explains everything about witches, from rituals to how to fight with them. It was probably written by our predecessors. But some of the pages at the back talked about potions from plants as well as treatment steps using magic spells. I guess it's more similar to the rituals of white witches. I closed it and put it back on the shelf. Then I heard

I opened my eyes. “Did you see it?” Clairmont glanced at me as I glanced him back. “Yo,” I tilted my head and gave him a strange look. “How can a dragon that big live in this world?” “What are you talking about?” Why am I hearing that a lot these days? “Obviously because this world is bigger than them. It’s the golden balance, I tell you.” He’s starting to sound more like a game character. Then again, if the novel did become a game, what genre would it be?

Gabriel (POV) After throwing money down on the table I ran out to follow Alana. As soon as I got outside, she was gone. I began walking and began to use the bond to feel for her. Only I felt nothing. I know I should be feeling something unless something has happened to her. At this point, I was at a loss, but I cannot give up. This bond has proven to me I was right all along. Alana is my one true mate, and I will not lose her. I felt bad to have kept the truth from her that what we have is a dragon bond that happens between mates. If we were on Drakkon the bond is the last part of binding us in unity as forever mates.
