The Alpha and the Rental Luna

The Alpha and the Rental Luna

[Araminta] [Now] The world that we have now, this nightmare we are all trapped within, was never part of the plan. Fifty years ago we were young and foolish, children playing at being adults, not realizing the depth of our consequences. It is easy to dream of a better future for everyone, but so much harder to execute. There is no such thing as utopia--One person's paradise can easily be another person's hell.

Thank you everyone who has taken the time to read my story and leave me feedback. I’m currently in the process of updating the earlier chapters to make it more appealing and interesting and add elements that have been missing the first time around. Feel free to leave me a comment with suggestions ...

Neo Manila: Rise of the New Gods

Neo Manila: Rise of the New Gods

However, the Chief knew that Mary Rose had raw but unpolished talent and was becoming more powerful and potentially stronger than Ellie. He needed them to put his plan to full effect, a plan that necessitated someone with expert knowledge and someone with a powerful spell-casting ability. His grand plan was to create a Utopia: a perfect state filled with perfect-looking and obedient people, with him as their leader. It was the same plan that his idol Adolph Hitler had, as outlined in his favorite book: "Mein Kampf." All the druggers and people in the lower castes would be excluded and eliminated.

Echoes in the Ashes

Echoes in the Ashes

A book materialized before him, its cover blank. The first question appeared on its pages, written in glowing script: What is the price of knowledge? Zara’s Dilemma Back in the expanse, Zara’s resolve was being tested. The girl continued to show her visions—scenes of a world shaped by the Nexus’s power. She saw peace and prosperity, but at a cost. Villages were erased, lives were rewritten, and those who resisted were cast aside. “This isn’t justice,” Zara said, her voice shaking. “This is tyranny.”

The CEO's Contracted Wife

The CEO's Contracted Wife

— H O O R — . . . The world should be nice and a place where peace and happiness rule. Where people do not get jealous of each other but join each other in their happiness. People should be soft-hearted. It could be nice but the idea alone seems like a fantasy. It is a utopia. And unfortunately, the world is filled with evil powers that dominate human emotions and thoughts. Even if I wanted my focus to stay on Zahir, it could not remain so on the way. I could catch women staring at him. The emotions in their eyes were speaking something else. I felt this all pricking my heart.

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

“It will be much like it was at the World’s Fair opening, Evelyn. Simply follow my lead. Can you do that?” Evelyn’s pulse kicked up a notch. Their trip to the World’s Fair had been like visiting an alternate existence. It went beyond simply politely 'familiar'. That had been an imaginary World of Tomorrow where the natural hierarchy and boundaries of wealth and social status had been erased, like the idealized Democracity or the egalitarian Futurama. Where people attracted to one another were free to explore that gift in each other's company without question.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

Blood and Moon

Blood and Moon

The witches were not to be trusted, and after the story my father gave us, it was more evident that we needed to be careful and be on our guard. I returned to our apartment to relax. Desiree was exhausted, and I allowed her to rest. I noticed she was deep in thoughts instead of sleeping, so I had to ask her why. She turned around in bed and rested her chin on her hand. "I have been thinking," she started, stating the obvious, and I did not say a word. "What if we can place our country under a magical dome, like a force field? We won't have to bother about clearing ash again and attacks, too," she said, and I smiled at her because it was a fantastic Idea. As the word fantasy implied, it was i

The Ace at the Apex

The Ace at the Apex

“Do the common folks know? They don’t! All they know is that wow, look at this guy, he’s so rich that he can do anything he wants. Why does he deserve this? Because he won the birth lottery? While you’re living in peace and lamenting the fact that you were abandoned and have been suffering from it, we’ve been living our lives under the fear of being assasinated. Compared to us, don’t you think your boring childhood was better and safer?” Iseult was shocked into silence. She had never thought of this before! Now that she thought more deeply, she realized she could very likely be wrong! When one built a utopia, one might not get to see it exactly as they had idealized it. They would still have

IN THE ARMS OF THE SNIPER

IN THE ARMS OF THE SNIPER

“Don't imagine that the market is like the Burough market in London or the traditional market in Incheon, where it is much wilder, and unorganized. Lots of philandering men roaming the market, there, women are very insecure. Spoiled women like you will be made into sex slaves by dozens of mashers. One sex slave will be used by dozens of men, even hundreds.” Calistha choked with fear by Aiden's horrific story. Moreover, the dimly lit atmosphere in their room further exacerbated Calistha's fears until her hair was tingling. In the past maybe she could still maintain her idealism about life like a flawless princess. But now, with the various messes left by her father behind her comfortable life

The Twins He Never Knew

The Twins He Never Knew

The air in the "Deleted Scenes" bin didn't just smell of wet ink; it tasted of ozone and the cold, metallic tang of a failed future. As the bookstore reality collapsed above them—the sound of Julian’s typewriter dying like a stuttering heart—Nora hit the floor of the Dystopian Sector. The ground wasn't made of wood or grass. It was a shifting mosaic of rusted steel and discarded data-slabs. Above her, the sky was a bruised purple, choked by the "Narrative Smoke" of a thousand abandoned plotlines.
