Water arced gracefully, weaving with fire instead of quenching it. Earth rose beneath my paws, shaping mounds and furrows in a rhythm that echoed the flow of water and fire. Air danced through it all, lifting leaves and twirling sparks.

When she returned, she noticed that the group was in a game of truth or dare. Felicity had lost, so she was asked to answer a private question. Felicity, feeling flustered, was about to open her mouth when Jason snatched the car from her and said icily, "I'll take the punishment on her behalf." The question on the card was, [Who is your sexual fantasy? Say the initials of their names.] Everyone started chiming in. "Even though this question is rather private, it's nothing to Jason! He has a girlfriend! He'll surely mention his girlfriend!"

Morgan remained silent, as if she had not heard a word. Seeing no response from Mogan, Hazel was about to say something when a waiter came over to replace the charcoal for the grill. Perhaps due to a slip, the tray tipped, and glowing coals spilled directly toward Hazel and Morgan. “Ah!” Hazel screamed in terror. Althea focused on the heat deep inside of her and used what little magic she possessed to form a barrier around it. She fought the urge to stomp her feet or rub her hands together. Instead, she filled her lungs with frigid air and expelled it in a huff. Beside her, Destroyer uncurled, stood, stretched, and then resituated his huge body around her feet and knees. “You should leave me. You will die if you stay here. We can not wait much longer for him to rescue us,” she whispered, but the wolf simply opened one insulted blue eye and let out a sigh that sent the snow in front of his mouth flying wildly around them.
