Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

Even if it did, she imagined that particular skill would be pretty far down on any list of priorities for some time yet. She tugged her dark blue knit ski cap farther down over her ears and trudged on into the wind. Beside her, Cali already had her rainbow colored Rasta tam pulled far down onto her head. They only had to walk two blocks with the wind blasting directly into their faces. As soon as they turned the corner and headed southeast, the walk became much more comfortable. Another four blocks brought them to the wide grass plaza fronting the college library, one of the oldest buildings on campus. As always, there were plenty of students coming and going from the huge, four story stone

The Devil's Kiss: Craving The Vampire Dark Lord

The Devil's Kiss: Craving The Vampire Dark Lord

We moved across Manhattan's rooftops as two silent shadows with the city below us, a haze of color and light. We reached the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue and like ancient sentinels, the two enormous statues of Lions : Patience and Fortitude stood still at the entrance. It was a temple of knowledge to the thousands of people who visited it each day. But for my kind, it served as the entrance to our coven for years. Slipping through a covert side door, we descended into the quiet deep archives of the library. Elias led the way to an old forgotten map wall and then pressed three points in a particular order on the stone.

The Freedom to Love

The Freedom to Love

Someone whistled, someone clapped, and more people laughed along with me. At that moment, I suddenly understood that freedom didn't mean being alone. It could be a group of people surrounding a fire and letting you shine without restraint. Later at night, Alex draped a jacket over my shoulders, and we walked back along the shore. Neither of us spoke right away. Near the cabin, he finally turned to me. "Sylvia." "Yeah?" "I like you." He said it normally like he was commenting on the weather. He wasn't forcing me to give him an answer, and he didn't seem arrogant about feeling certain.

A Squire's Journey

A Squire's Journey

Undaunted by the adventure, Julie sprang into action, “I'm in!” Days of hard riding later, the Grand Library greeted them as its white marble columns reflected the sunlight, giving it a prestigious glow. Located in the east of the Kingdom, where many universities are situated, a large number of people wanted to visit the Grand Library to study or borrow books. The crowds were so numerous that a pin couldn’t even get through. “Make way! We need to return some books to the Restricted Section!” Julie shouted. The entire crowd looked at them with pity. To them, Julie and William are dead people walking. Some saluted them as the pursuit of knowledge has no equal.

Don´t go to the forest

Don´t go to the forest

After half past four (we would have shown up significantly earlier, but since the traffic — at three there is usually excessively, it was unimaginable) I park the Jeep near the sign with the name of the school, so we need to use one of the side doors, wandering through a few different passages to get out of the structure, and then reaching the swinging doors of the library, where the coat is looking for us. Justo and I climb the steps just behind Jay. “Hey, what 's up ?” “Could you see Linda?” I hear Sasha ask when she's arriving in the latest preview.

ALPHA KING OF DEMONS

ALPHA KING OF DEMONS

Selena said and both of them left Forester and headed for New York. "Didn't you say Ethan mentioned it was with the girl?" Alex asked, walking into their room. ★★★★★★★★★★ The library stood in front of them across the street in New York. It has been two days since they arrived. “This is it,” Alex said as they both glared at the big building in front of them. It was a high sort of white, cinder-block building with a badly defined gravel parking area in front, where there were three pickup trucks and a green Jag. An old metal Library Open sign hung over the screen door. One could smell the availability and surpluses of books in the building. The shouting and honking of vehicles that plied the s

Liberated

Liberated

Suddenly she turns her black calculating eyes to me and I force myself not to look away. "Well, let's see how Kim did," Sarah says before pushing open the thick wooden doors in front of us. I immediately look away from the other wheelchair bound girl so I can look inside, but just like the break room I am underwhelmed. The room is an average office with a desk and some bookshelves. Nothing strange or revealing. It is like Samantha said, this building is just spare offices for government agencies. The only interesting thing inside is a third girl in a wheelchair already waiting.

Raw Pleasures

Raw Pleasures

HENRY’S POV I had been warned. The east wing of the library was not for students, not for the curious, not for anyone without the stern librarian’s express permission. Yet the warnings worked on me like a charm, pulling me closer instead of pushing me away. That evening, when the halls were near empty and the lamps burned low, I found myself before the iron-gated door marked Restricted. The metal gleamed like something freshly sharpened. My heart hammered as if I were about to commit a crime—not theft, not violence, but something stranger. Something intimate.

One Night Stand With Her Billionaire CEO

One Night Stand With Her Billionaire CEO

“Haven Tower, East 78th Street, Upper East Side.” Her apartment at The Haven Tower on East 78th was only a few streets from Ezra’s estate, The Belmont Estate on East 74th Street. It wasn’t just close, it was intentional. Ezra wanted her near enough to reach her within minutes, yet far enough that no one would suspect she was close to him.

THE VAMPIRE BROTHERS

THE VAMPIRE BROTHERS

He chose not to, he preferred to live a private life because life has been cruel to him. Aiden stationed the SUV at the parking lot, Lynette looked at her wristwatch before she stepped out of the car. It was 9:45 am. The Library opens at 10 am and she could see some students dawdling at the corner of the building. Aiden saw the town's flag that was attached to the top of the one-story building as it swept from left to right. The Library was beautiful, surrounded by hedges, and a plain field covered with grasses, the founding fathers of this town did a good job by renovating most of the old buildings and encouraging the afforestation of silver birch trees which had a high population in Arcadi

A truly intriguing story, told with care. Each chapter leaves me wanting to read more and there's so much to love about each character. I have to say I'm team Colby, Aiden and Darius though. A fantastic world too.
