She looked a lot different than the person I’d known five years ago. Mr Edison showed up beside us. Eddy was so lost in her beauty that he did not see her stop in front of him. "Hey, mister! Here!" She snapped her fingers before Eddy, jolting him to reality. "Who are you?" She slowly stood with a wondering expression on her face. ”Hey, we haven't met,” Marie said and stretched out her hand. ”I’m Marie, Aiden’s mother, who are you?” She asked. She smiled and grabbed Marie's hand. ”It’s nice to meet you, I'm Erin.” It looked like the blood drained from Marie's face and she turned pale as a ghost.

If you called her a cougar or whatever hot-to-trot name the kids had come up with these days, Marie was liable to curse you out. She was anything but anybody’s cradle robber. Marie's POV A dream. My eyes remained closed while I felt a certain pressure on my chest, as though something was pressing down on me. Gradually the pressure lessened until I felt nothing. The pain that had blazed my abdomen not too long ago was gone. I didn't feel my blood pooling around me. Or my skin being torn, and my flesh pierced with bullet holes. I simply felt nothing.
