I said, and he scoffed. “Sweetheart, I am not you, I don’t run away from my enemies.” He said, making me frown. “I am fighting him back, only I am going to do it in a dirtier way than he would like to be in. Diablo thinks that he is a know it all, and so does Myla. Elton is depending on Myla for information, but the woman doesn’t seem to realize that. I am going to take advantage of that and I am going to get what I want, nice and fucking slow. Sometimes even the worst of wars don’t need to end with blood.”

he smiled and turned to leave. “You know El Diablo, I was told you hardly reject a cool business, and with you doing this, it confirmed my suspicion. No man would have been able to pull that stunt last night, no man would have avoided the camera so much, no man would have kidnapped my daughter without leaving a trace, no man would have killed my men so effortlessly like that, no man would have accepted to that job knowing what I will do, no man would have been so efficient in it, no man would have perform the act so clean like that, no man except the infamous El Diablo.”

Slowly one by one I finish off the remaining four men, making sure the room witnessed the hell f'm capable of and will treat my enemies and those who cross me with. “PLEASE SHOW RESPECT FOR THE HEIR OF THE DE LEONE CRIME FAMILY AND NEW ACTING HEAD OF THE EAT ITAILAN/AMERICAN DE LEONE MAIFA" Vic pauses his speech and comes to my side, taking my hand in his he kisses the back on my now bloody knuckles "DIABLA"

"God, you are badly hurt," I said, but to my surprise, the wounds that were in front of my eyes a second ago started to heal themselves automatically. I widened my eyes and raised my head to look into his eyes. I fell on

"Who exactly are we talking about here?" Someone asked. I already knew the answer, and the whisper left my lips before I had the chance to stop myself. "El Diablo." Gasps of terror erupted from all around us, then the murmurs began again. I was beginning to understand just how much of a menace this "El Diablo" truly is. Only the mention of his name is able to strike so much fear in the minds of these men.

“Do not worry. April will be taken care of. You did good, baby brother. Maybe saved the world last night. Happiness should be easy now.” His finger lifts again. “Go on. Press the button. Let us watch the fire together. Like old times.” The answer comes steady. “You do it. Killing ends here.” A shrug. No argument. The button is tapped. Smoke floods the screen almost instantly. Flames roar up, bright and hungry. Bodies vanish behind heat and fire. Turning away feels impossible. “I have a pathologist ready,” Abel says softly. “He will swear that body down there is yours. The chopped pieces, I mean. Diego becomes Diablo. You walk free. Poetic.”
