[Juliet's POV] The music at the celebration party continued. Surrounded by a crowd, Alison basked in the crowd's repetitive praises. Suddenly, a deafening boom came from the city walls. Overlapping growls and roars of zombies tore through the atmosphere. Terror erupted instantaneously. People in the crowd screamed, "It's a swarm of zombies! A massive swarm of zombies!" A guard ran over, staggering along the way. "The lightning barrier on the right of the base has been breached. There's a massive gap. Zombies are coming through soon!"

Their eyes were empty, unfocused, and they were both wearing a strange, hollow smile. The rescue team leader stepped forward. "Mr. Sands? Mrs. Sands?" Dad suddenly clutched the tin of spam against his chest and shrank backward, his eyes wide. "Shh. Be quiet," he whispered, his voice shaking. "There are zombies out there. Going outside means death. "This is the last of our food. We have to ration it. We have to make it last." Mom nodded along beside him, completely serious. "One less mouth to feed. You'll get to live a few more days."

Hannah and Marcky fought alongside Brandon, their abilities complementing each other as they unleashed a barrage of offensive strikes against the encroaching horde. Hannah's flames danced and flickered, engulfing any zombies that dared to draw near, while Marcky's electrified attacks sent jolts of energy coursing through the ranks of the undead.

We are heading for Eden.” “Eden?” I exclaimed softly in complete lack of understanding as to where that was. “Yes, at least that’s what the Nazis called it. Never been there myself, but I’m sure that it’s a regular goose marching paradise.” My mind searched for clues as to what made sense of what I was hearing. Pulling on memory I said, “Do you mean Antarctica, the part of it called New Swabia by the Germans in World War II?” “Well, now, you do know a thing or two, don’t you my dear. No bad American blonde jokes for you, although I do detect a little something else other than American.”

He growled before slicing through them like they were nothing. “I see they are still. What's the word.. stupid?” Eddy laughed teasingly and stepping into the room. “Shut it.” Justin snapped running a hand through his hair. “He wants an army of these idiots. They are brainless zombies at this point.” Justin snarled thrusting his sword across the room in frustration. Eddy cracked a grin nodding his head. “Yeah they are pretty bad.” “They are a pain in the ass. Eric wants this group battle ready by Solstice.” He rolled his eyes finally seeing me, “I would be surprised if they could even hold a weapon properly.”
