Adrian flicked his silver lighter, igniting a small flame that illuminated a foyer leading into a long corridor. ​Eileen walked with hesitant, unsteady steps, her hands reaching out to brush against the cold stone walls. With every touch, a strange sensation of belonging, laced with deep dread, flooded her mind. ​She suddenly froze in front of a round wooden table in the center of the foyer. On it sat a shattered glass ashtray, and right beside it, a wooden picture frame lay facedown, buried under a thick layer of dust. Eileen slowly leaned forward, holding her breath as she lifted the frame and blew the dust away with her shallow, trembling breaths.

What was I doing? It wasn’t like her to question her instincts, but something about the book unnerved her. Still, she pushed her hesitation aside. She had always been the type to face things head-on, even when the fear gnawed at her. So, she opened the book. The pages inside were yellowed, the ink faint but still legible. Eliana skimmed over the text, though the words didn’t make much sense to her. The language was foreign, the writing jagged and unsettling. It didn’t resemble anything she had read before, but the title, Petals of the Truth, seemed to shimmer on the page, like a hidden message that she couldn’t quite interpret.

Ethan called in shock, getting to his feet, while Eileen ran down the stairs quickly, to get to me before any of the brothers could. “Oh my. I didn't know you were this weak. I thought omegas had to have at least some strength. Oh, no. My suitcase. Yrene…” she called, softly, and her eyes shone with tears. “You really couldn't catch that? You're not fat anymore, stop acting like you're still fat.” Reece said, and his words cut deep. “You should have told me.” Eileen said, with her tears dropping as she cradled her suitcase to her chest.

Benjy stated. Eileen was delightful she stared into space and no one needed a special deity to tell that she was immediately scheming something up. “Benjy let me go freshen up, I have something to tell Cody and it’ll be best if I tell him to his face” Eileen said with an evil smile plastered on her face. She went to her son’s room and found him playing some video games. “Honey get dressed we’re going to visit daddy” “Yaaay” Cecil rejoiced.

'it wasn't. Eleanor sat down and pulled out the book she'd gotten from Gabby. What better way to divert her racing mind? She flipped pages randomly till she came across a page, which wasn't a page. It was cut into, with a smaller book hidden within that took up the rest of the page space underneath. She carefully pulled it out. It was an old brown leather cover with brownish pages. A pretty old book. She gently set down Bigfoot and opened the book, instantly getting sucked in.

Eileen continued her words showing no mercy to her best friend. “People sacrifice their lives and safety every single day to keep you safe and you are here throwing yourself to the wind, walking to the doors of danger yourself just because of a boy, a dastard at that” Eileen added before shaking her head at Arya. “What you are looking for Arya; I desperately hope you find it” Eileen said before turning and walking away. The teenagers that had crowded around them instantly made way for Eileen as the latter grabbed her bag and disappeared from sight.

The game was afoot, and I was ready to play. Eileen would soon learn that I was not a man to be underestimated. I was a force of nature, a storm that would sweep through her life and leave destruction in its wake. And yet, despite the fear that I inspired in her, I knew that Eileen was drawn to me. She was fascinated by my power, my strength, and my unwavering determination. She was a moth to a flame, and I was the fire that would consume her.

Aidan I sit patiently in the library for the girl from the gardens and hope she arrives. I have no idea what happened back there. What she read, it touched me. It was like no drug I have ever had and I want more. There was something about her too. She was mysterious and cunning but not in a bad way. The kind of person I didn't feel weird crying in front of.
