Why the moon roars
Clyde still hadn't seen what was inside, and when Cyrus brought it up to his face, his mouth fell open in shock.
“Oh wow,” Clyde mumbled.
It was a finger, and it was wrapped up in a red bow. It was perfectly clean too, but from the bottom of it, I could tell that it was neatly cut off. It had a silver ring on it, and — against my will — as I looked at it further, I noticed that the ring looked oddly familiar.
God, I was going to throw up.
“What kind of sick joke is this?” Clyde huffed, a hint of anger in his tone. Cyrus kept quiet, weighing the finger in his palm as if…it wasn't a finger.
