Iden whipped around, brows furrowed. Ellaya was clutching her finger, lip quivering, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Oh fuck! Seriously?” he muttered, striding over. He grabbed her wrist, guided her to the sink, and held her hand under the cold water.
“It stings,” she whimpered.
He smirked, glancing at the tiny drop of blood. “You barely nicked it.”
“It’s a fatal wound,” she declared. “I might lose the finger. Or die from cucumber poisoning.”
