The inside wasn’t any better as I could see the peels in the wall, faded paint and the air had a heavy scent of blood and death. “Welcome to the black market, child.” Of course I had already figured they were part of the black market, I was no fool. Looking around carefully I could see body parts of werewolves, elixirs, and rare monster parts. “Tell me your name child.” Osborne asked. “I’m Elsa.” The fear in my voice betraying my supposed poise. “Well Elsa, it’s too bad you’re the unlucky werewolf that was caught today. You can’t imagine what we plan to do with you.

“Hey… about what you saw earlier.” She jumped, clutching the book to her chest. “I—I didn’t see anything. I swear. I won’t tell anyone.” I smiled softly and stepped even closer, backing her gently against the shelves. “Relax. Professor Harlan and I… we have an understanding. But I saw how you looked at us. You didn’t run away because you were scared. You ran because it turned you on, didn’t it?” Her cheeks burned brighter. She shook her head quickly. “No… that’s not… I’m not—”

Alex pumped his fist triumphantly. “Yes!” Edith laughed softly. “Well done.” **** The next hour passed in a flurry of activity. Clara rushed home to pack a small suitcase. Evan checked the car.
