Elder's Bookstore Novels & Stories

“That nerdy shit is your only ticket out of school.” “No mom, there should be another way.” "Join the Book Club. Stay out of trouble. I can’t take another scene like the one I just witnessed. I won’t let your father keep tearing you down. But I need you to give me something to fight with." I rubbed a hand over my face, groaning again. "This is ridiculous. Me in that book club is just out of it." "Please, Kael," she said softly. “It is only for a few months. And I know you love reading… in secret. You can make good use of this opportunity.”

"Tuesdays are difficult." Elion laughed. "Yeah. Tuesdays." "Elion?" "Yeah?" "There is an event," Cale said. "Tonight." "What event?" "The bookstore in town. The turning Page. They posted a flyer. 'Local Author Night'." "I'm not a local author. I've lived here for six months." "You have a deed. You pay taxes. You are local." "I didn't tell them about the book." "I did," Cale said. Elion dropped the book. "You what?"

As we step inside the small store, I was flabbergasted, mostly because the inside was so much larger than the outside. [ The Whole store was enchanted with Space Enlargement magic…Quite fascinating for a retired old magician...]. "Interesting…..so that's why the inside was this large..…". The whole store was full of books, it looks like a library rather than a store, the bookshelf was as high as a ceiling, everywhere your head turns is filled with books. There's even a section for every book, Tome, magic books, history, tales, there's even an adult section. As Baroness Lydia was busy calling the Store owner, which she claims that the owner was once a famous royal magician. Elijah and Mina we

I walked over to the children's books area, I was thankful no one was around as I sat down in a beanbag after grabbing a few books to read. "Ella, stop slouching around and get to work" my manager yells at me, there was no one in the shop while I was sitting around here. I looked up to see a woman standing next to the register, I huffed angrily and put the book away before walking over to the nice looking lady. "Hi ma'am, how may I help you?" I ask the woman, she was only about five feet tall, with brown long hair and brown eyes. "Hello, I'm here for the new werewolf story" she says looking at me, I tried my best to hide under my own overgrown bangs.

Was he listening to her right now? Wait. He was out of town. Maybe there was something she could do. She drove to the bookstores at Block 71 instead of his mansion. She searched for the elven woman from whom she had purchased the book. Her store was closed. Her closing time was earlier than most of the stores, said a vendor. She had to return in the morning.

Today marked my first solo outing—a simple trip to the local bookstore to pick up a few titles for Lucas and myself. The bookstore had been one of my favorite places in Riverside, a cozy haven where I had spent countless hours before the attack. Mr. Peterson, the elderly owner, had greeted me with such genuine delight that I had found myself blinking back tears. He had insisted on showing me all the new children's books that had arrived since I had left, setting aside several he thought Lucas might enjoy.

Several days passed, and one evening, as I was leaving a job interview, I felt a hand on my arm. I spun around, expecting Alex. But instead, I was met with the smiling face of a young woman with auburn hair, and a smattering of freckles across her nose. Her eyes sparking with recognition, she asked "You're Elysia, right? I'm Lila. I work at the bookstore. I saw you looking at the book on the Quarter's history."

Hiding in closets during their parents’ fights, whispering stories back and forth, just to feel less alone. Serena had grown used to being alone. But never with Eliora. "Is it snowing there yet?” she asked softly. “A little,” Eliora said, her voice warming. She loved the snow. “Everything’s kind of magic right now. There’s this bookstore I found today. It smells like cinnamon and old pages. I think you’d love it.” Serena smiled faintly. “Take me there one day?” “Promise,” Eliora said without missing a beat. “We’ll have cocoa and sit by the fire. And I’ll make you read something that isn’t a script.”

”We need to talk,” ”Yeah, I got that, let’s go in here,” He grabbed my hand and opened the door to a bookstore. ”This place is cute,” I said and turned my head to look at everything. The books seemed old and the shelves were antiques. ”It’s a family-owned business, dates back generations. I think this is one of the few stores from the original Royal family. It’s hundreds of years old.” ”That’s crazy,” I said in a breath. ”It is, lot’s of history in these walls,” A hoarse voice said and I turned to look at him. ”Hi, I'm Emma,” I said and reached out my hand. The elderly man chuckled and held out his hand.

I followed Elliot as I looked around and noticed that there weren’t a lot of people around. As we were walking, I looked around at the stores since I've never been to this mall before trying to see what they have when we walked up to a bookstore and I followed him inside. Elliot seemed to know where to go and we walked past aisles until he turned to the left side to look at the educational section. I looked around seeing that the store was quite big and had more than books; like DVDs, collectible items, action figures, used computers, instruments, and so on. I slowly walked away to see what else was around and saw Elliot looking curiously at the books before turning to me.
