I held his face in my hands and let Eliel console her mate. "Ghost, Ghost," she called on his beast and the air seemed tense. Zephyr's eyes flickered from grey to black. He was trying to restrain Ghost but his beast had a mind of his own. A growl reverberated through his chest and his eyes were full black. Ghost was out. I was so scared I hid myself at the back of my mind while Eliel did the talking. "I am fine, that person in there did not hurt me in any way. I am here now and no one is taking me away from you. No one can. No one ever would." Eliel communicated directly with Ghost.
