"That woman must have gotten a filthy illness like that because she's been sleeping around! Now that we've kicked her out, she's probably dead somewhere on the streets!" Charles chuckled darkly. "Easy. I'll just call her, and we'll know if she's dead or alive." I looked out the window and watched as the rainstorm turned into a snowstorm, and the temperature dropped even lower. The ice age was coming. I curled my lips. Was I the one who was going to die? I think not. Then, my phone rang. Slowly, I accepted the call, and the other end seemed to be surprised. "You're still alive, Jennie?"

**Elijah** **Earlier** I drove down the highway and grimaced at the sight of Zoe chugging her third beer. Moments ago, she had polished off a handful of Jell-O shots, and I was fearful that she would blackout before we made it to the river. I tried to tell her to take it easy, but I was quickly reminded to mind my business and that she was “built for this.” I was grateful I had come. There was no telling what condition Zoe might’ve been in by the end of the day.

Jensen’s POV The cold water splashed against my face as I heard a voice I knew all too well. “Wake up Mr. Daniels. It’s time for your close-up.” I could barely open my eyes because they were swollen shut. I forced one open a little as I saw a flash from a few feet in front of me. “Perfect, let’s see if that little whore will come to save you.” Joseph’s voice rang in my ear and I tried to get to him, but I was tied down to a chair.

Joe had reclined the car seat way back and was laying and browsing his I*******m. He had been out here for almost two hours waiting on Rebecca to come out. He was bored, tired and starting to feel sleepy. It wouldn't kill to get in a few minutes of sleep before she came back, would it? Hunter and Angelo were parked a few streets from where Joe was. Lisa asked. “Oh, she asked me if I would come down from the boat? Maybe she thinks I’m one of you,” he replied as he picked up a bottle of red liquid and drank the contents. “Okay, Zoe. Wait for us here, then I’ll pay you,” Joe said. “Ok, I’m going to take a nap. If you get here first, wake me up,” he pleaded. “Bye, Zoe,” Lisa said as she waved goodbye to Zoe and winked at him.

Zachary feigned politeness. "Oh…" Eleanor sounded embarrassed. "Really? Kenneth isn't with her? You know, that celebrity." "No. If he knew you were looking for him, why would he come to Eldeville with Ms. Linton?" Zachary chatted casually. Eleanor sighed and thanked him before hanging up. As Zachary put the phone down, he saw Joey watching him. "Was it a call from the Yates family?" Joey didn't blame him for answering her phone. "Yes." Zachary nodded.
