Just the reaction I wanted. “I promise I will tell you about mine. I am so sure mine is worse trust me,” I say while taking a sip of my juice.

She laughed again. But all her fears flew out the window as soon as Helen started saying stories of how Maxwell used to have terrible dermatitis all over his skin, when he was little so he would run around naked. They did not waste any opportunity to tell her embarrassing stories of him, but somehow, she still felt naked without him. Like the empty feeling of not having a purse or a bag.

What started off as a fairly subdued group quickly opened up as each of them told funny stories about themselves, knowing that Mark, Myra and Maddy didn't really know any of them. "I'm not good at this stuff, but I'm sorry for asking you about your illness. It wasn't something I should've pried into. It probably wasn't something you wanted to talk about." I waited for a few seconds for his response, but he wasn't saying anything. I turned back around and saw him trying to hold his laughter in. "H-Hey, why the hell are you laughing?!" I exclaimed as I pulled on his collar. "I just didn't expect that from you." He replied as he covered his face and continued laughing. I let him go and felt the shame consume me. "Just stop." I said as I covered my face a little. "It's embarassing enough that I said all that."

“Who told you to suspect that I was bad mouthing you? I should reveal your embarrassing stories to make your suspicions of me come true.” Callum replied, “I was wrong, Nana. I won’t do it again. Please spare me and let me maintain my image.” Grandma May chuckled. “That was the only embarrassing story of yours that’s still fresh in my mind. I can’t recall the others, yet. “I have too many grandsons, and all of them had embarrassing moments when they were young. However, if you keep asking, I might be able to remember more of your stories.” “I’ll stop talking. Please recall embarrassing stories of the others instead of mine, Nana.”
