“I don’t know. Maybe we could go to the park? Or take Lily to the zoo?” Thomas raised an eyebrow. “That doesn’t sound like your kind of fun. That sounds like Lily’s kind of fun.” Emma grinned. “What can I say? I’m selfless.” Thomas stepped closer, lowering his voice. “You know, we don't have anyone now to babysit and have some grown-up fun instead.” Emma rolled her eyes, though her cheeks turned pink. “You’re incorrigible.” “And you love it,” Thomas said with a smirk. “Debatable,” Emma teased, though her smile gave her away.

Chelsea casually relayed. "Hmm... Let's see about that." Emilia said in return. After that conversation, the girls went back on studying. After one hour, Chelsea was finally finished with her thesis revision. "I want us to be friends, Emilia. Let's exchange numbers shall we?" she suggested. "Sure, why not?" Emilia agrees rightaway. The girls started exchanging their numbers, and it was the start of their friendship.

“I told you to stop calling me that when I’m off duty.” Emily shrugged. “You are never off duty.” Thomas laughed from behind the counter. “She has you there.” Natasha pointed at him. “Don’t encourage her.” Sarah smiled warmly and moved around the counter with the bowl of frosting still in her hands. “You came at the right time. She almost caught us.” Emily narrowed her eyes. “Caught you doing what?” “Nothing,” Thomas said too quickly. That made Emily even more suspicious. Natasha walked to the table and sat opposite her. “How are your lessons going?”

I say and rather than laughing at me, like I thought she would, she gets a wide smile and looks up at me with her twinkling green eyes. "Really?" She asks and I nod. "I really am a nerd, just like your friend said." I say and she shrugs. "I'm pretty sure Henry Cavill plays that game and he's Superman so if that's what a nerd is, sign me up." She says with a sly grin that has me chuckling. "You're welcome to join anytime. It would be amusing watching those guys try to adapt to a girl." I say, grinning at the thought. "What? They don't talk to girls?" She asks and I shrug.

“I fixed this for you, Mrs. Thomas. I hope you find someone else that could fix the broken tools in your kitchen.” Mrs. Thomas scoffed kind heartedly. “Don’t you worry your head over us, little one. You make a success of that school they’re sending you to and maybe you’ll even find your match there.” She answered with barely contained tears. Mrs. Thomas was fond of her, since she had grown up with her taking her under her wing as a female parental figure. Ember was close to tears as well, but she refused to show weakness. “Humans don’t have mates, Mrs. Thomas.” She answered with a forced light giggle.

“Hello, Mr. Hawks, I’m Emma. I didn’t expect you to look so young! I would’ve thought you were Ethan’s brother if I didn’t know better!” She was trying her best to get on his good side as her smile grew brighter and sweeter. However, Thomas remained expressionless towards her. “Really?” Emma’s abilities were limited, she couldn’t read the room at all. She couldn’t even tell that Thomas was bothered. She continued smiling sweetly. “Yes! You look so young and handsome. If we were to walk next to each other, people might think we’re a couple!” Alex couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

Emily says and then we say our goodbyes and I hang my phone up and toss it on my desk. Well at least one good thing came from Tyler finding me Emily and I wouldn’t have to secretly get together anymore.
