I could see the anger rising in his facial expression, the muscle in his jaw twitching as he clenched his fists.
“I really don’t want to talk about this,” he said, his voice struggling to stay calm. He took a deep breath, but it did nothing to ease his anger. “My organization is not so weak that I need to marry Don Paulo’s annoying daughter just to secure allies.” His words came out angry, filled with frustration.
