Odette sat down next to Bee.
“Bee, let’s finish this,” she said gently and then fed Bee the last pie.
Like a real child, Bee ate the pie while continuing to play with his paper boat.
“My baby Bee, stop playing and sleep. You can play again tomorrow.” Odette took the paper boat from Bee’s hand and placed it on the table.
“But, Mom…”
“Tomorrow, you can play again.”
“You will accompany me? You will not go?” Bee stared at Odette closely. In the man’s eyes, Odette saw fear slowly engulfing him again.
