Then an image appeared. Aruna gasped. Her mother. Elena. Older than she remembered. Older than the photographs. Silver strands mixed through her dark hair. Faint lines marked her face. But it was her. Unmistakably her. Alive. Real. Looking directly into the camera. Tears immediately filled Aruna's eyes. For several seconds Elena said nothing. As though gathering courage. He smiled amusingly as he saw Eleena’s disappointed face. “What do you think?” He’s still smiling. Eleena’s brows met as she gave him a crooked smile. “We’re gonna teleport?” Apollo chuckled at her response while Eleena blushed in embarrassment. “Don’t worry, we are not going to teleport.” Eleena couldn’t stop herself from sighing deeply, which caused Apollo to chuckle again. He shook his head before looking ahead.

"How did you know that?" Elena asked. "Because he is crying," Don replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Elena smiled, clearly pleased with his engagement. She swiped to reveal another picture, this time of a man with wide eyes and a terrified expression.

To say the least she looked stunningly elegant. Mr. Edwards and Mr. Simpson looked up in surprise as Elena entered the office, their curiosity piqued by her unexpected appearance. Her usual serious demeanor was replaced by an unusually happy expression, a big difference to her typically moody and reserved nature. Given that Elena rarely showed any sign of joy or emotion at all, it was clear that she had some positive news to share with them.

Elena muttered softly, and Iris laughed loudly when hearing Elena’s bland delivery of her ridiculous jokes—the nerdy Elena with her unique brands of marks. At least she had her friends, so her day remained bearable after the shock of the event today.

"Elena! Oh, it's nice to see you here!" The old woman stated in surprise. "You still look stunning as ever, Aunt Sofia! Wait-- Bea, is that you?" Elena stated cheerfully. Elena went surprised in an exaggerated way when she saw her as if she never expected to see her together with the old woman. But in her own point of view, it was more like, despite being aware she was around, it's as if she chose to act and pretended she was surprised. Knowing Elena way back when they were kids, she was very good at pretending so she was quite convinced with her latter thoughts.

“You’ll see.” As he left, Elena shook her head, unable to stop the grin spreading across her face. If there was one thing she knew about Adrian Blackwell, it was that his surprises were never small. And whatever he was planning next — she had a feeling it was going to be unforgettable.
