I pressed the button and spoke directly to the local security guard who I knew had a brother who ran a pizzeria in the village. "Paolo I need the largest pepperoni pizza your brother can make," I said into the speaker. "And I want extra garlic extra cheese and a bottle of soda that contains enough sugar to give a horse a heart attack. Tell the delivery guy to ignore the woman in the lab coat and bring it straight to the dining room."

I peeked up at Pazzi only to see him scowling at me, knowing what I wanted. I pouted and flipped the page so that I could see their pizzas.
