~. .~ Aret's heart raced as Eron removed his hood, revealing his blonde hair with distinctive green streaks. "Hey, Arie," his deep yet soft voice called out to her, carrying a mixture of familiarity and curiosity. A surge of emotion overwhelmed Aret as she gasped and instinctively covered her mouth. There were only two people in this world who called her "Arie." One was gone, lost to time, and the other... Tears welled up in her eyes as she couldn't contain her emotions. She ran into Eron's open arms. "Eron, where have you been?"

“It is either that or he knows and now he is standing against her. Regardless, we're not going to stop and he is not.” I walked into the hall, tore the bell cord from the wall, and slammed it down three times. The warriors gathered fast. Ethan was the first to arrive, already suited in black. Delilah appeared at his side like a shadow, eyes sharp but unreadable. Carter, bruised and still limping, came next with Lysandra behind him, arms folded and jaw tight. I stepped up. No podium. No elevation. Just my voice.

“The newest addition to Alden’s experiment, subject #062” The light almost seems to get brighter. I notice people glance down, faces blank as they write down something on an unknown surface. The voice coming from speakers above me sounds rather animated and excited. What have I been dragged into? “This ones a fighter. Alden has put in a personal search for her after his own warriors failed to capture her after a year,” they say.

The worst part was just beginning. Leo slowly made his way towards the back of the auditorium where he had spotted his mother’s bodyguard in a heated conversation with another man who almost had the same features as Julian. The only difference between the two was their height. Julian towered over the other guy for about a good foot or so.

" Lets go then " I say and move to the door to open it. I could hear him so I know he was right behind me. I turn abruptly and I gasp as I am faced with his broad chest, few feet's away from my head. He is towering above me with I think a 6'4 or a 6'3. His chocolate brown hair is falling out of his beanie in beautiful curls.

I wanted him, needed him, more than anything, and I wasn’t even sure why. But before we could continue anything, the door burst open and Dash appeared, panting heavily. “Dane, there’s an emergency,” he stated breathlessly. Dane pulled away from me and looked at Dash, his expression serious. “What is it?” “Rogues breached the border. We need to act fast.”
