They started growling as if they are questioning him. Shock can be seen in their eyes when one of the leaders of a pack engages in their fight against the hunter. And what makes them more confused is when the one that's supposed to kill the hunter is saving now the woman. He even questioned himself about what he is doing. His mind wanted to just see what would happen between them but his body just move when he saw the wounded hunter.
