I had seen that spark of defiance in her eyes on multiple occasions. Once I made it to my room, I made a beeline for the shower. My body held so much frustration and tension. I wanted to hunt down the motherfucker that had spiked Miranda's drink. Just thinking about the number of innocent girls the piece of shit probably took advantage of had my vision blurring with anger. I loathed those types of people — the types that preyed on the weak.

Her phone started ringing again, she scoffed in anger and grabbed the phone, it was her father who called to lament about the video aswell. Joan was a good actress so she burst into tears aswell and hanged up after saying a few words. "I really need to make this more interesting and tragic" she thought aloud taking a quick glance around the car. Finally she found something lying outside the car, it was a broken piece of a bottle. She stepped out of the car and walked back in with the broken piece, Joan stabbed her arm with the broken piece of the bottle and it was bleeding profusely. She tore the ends of her clothe and tied it above the wound and drove off at home heading home.

I needed this and I was going to make the most out of it. Calling Rhea and Veronica to join me in a toast, I poured three shots and passed it to them. “To freedom!” we all cheered and drank. The song ‘Up’ by Cardi B came on and we felt the urge to dance. Nodding to ourselves, Veronica grabbed Connor who gladly came with her while Rhea grabbed a random blonde-haired guy. Since Levi was nowhere to be found, I slipped in between Caleb’s conversation with an unknown girl. “Wanna dance? Cuz….I wanna dance.” I slurred a bit.

the Dj suddenly changed the beat to slow and tense music. I don't know if it is the music or not but I can see the sudden change in his expression. it shifts from a goofy one to a serious one. It looks more intense than it has ever been. he begins to stare down at me and I wonder why the change in demeanour. I don't know why but I begin to feel butterflies in my stomach. I don't know why I suddenly begin to notice how attractive he is. not that I didn't notice earlier but his lips begin to look sexier as he stares down at me.
