Her toes curled when she remembered how Connor had made her scream towards the sky. "Where ma'am?" Eric asked, cutting into her thoughts. "On the center table, thank you." she smiled. "It's no worry ma'am," he said, placing it on the table before taking a step back. It was then Connor turned back and when he saw them, there was a frown on his face which was immediately replaced by relief because he recognized Eric as one of his men. “Thanks, Emma. It’s good to catch up. I guess I should get Connor home now.” As if on cue, Connor bounded over to them, his energy palpable. His face lit up when he saw Emma, and he shyly clutched Celine’s leg. “Mommy, who’s this?” Connor asked, peering up at Emma with wide, curious eyes. “This is Emma,” Celine said, smiling down at her son. “She’s an old friend of mine.
