He fought, hit boots skidding on the stone, but the strength of the transformed men was unnatural. They did not struggle or grunt with effort; they simple pulled, their movements smooth and relentless. “You can’t do this!” he shouted, his voice echoing off the ancient ruins. “You are insane! This is not a new world it is a tomb!” she watched them drag him toward the darkened entrance of the ruins, her expression unreadable. “A tomb is only for those who refuse to live,” she said quietly.
