She sobs and I hold her tight. "Did you see that girl's eyes? They are like gold." "Yellow eyes." "They must be contacts." "She has always been a little odd." I glance up and there are some students passing by and looking at us. It never crossed my mind that mind-reading would affect my eyes too. "Mia we should go. We are drawing too much attention. My eyes are..." She wiped her tears with the back of her hand and nodded. *****

Silent Rejection

Silent Rejection

She said. “Oh, he is,” Quinn said. “By the way, since we don’t have much time to buy your contact lenses,” She looked at her eyeglasses on the table. “It’s a good thing that your choices of eyeglasses are beautiful. But don’t worry, Reid already spoke to one of the ophthalmologists and saw your records. Your contact lens will be delivered soon.” “Is it necessary?” She asked. “Yes, you will look more beautiful,” Quinn said as she also showed the shoes. “Close shoes and wedges are more practical.” She nodded.

Six_K.I. Lynn

Six_K.I. Lynn

For the first time in over a week I slipped on my bra, new jeans, and the flats he bought. “Contacts,” he said, stopping my beeline to the door. I stopped in my tracks. “What?” “The contacts.” He held a small bag out to me. “Why?” He sighed, his jaw clenching. “Because your eyes stand out almost as much as your hair did.” “Isn’t there stuff like facial recognition software everywhere now?” I asked as I snatched the bag from him and moved to the bathroom. I hated putting in contacts. There was a reason I had laser eye correction surgery the moment I could.

Pride and Promises

Pride and Promises

I heard the thick confusion in his voice and would have found it cute if I wasn't irritated. "And there wasn't anything wrong in the reports?" "No?" His reply came as a question. I swerved to right and smiled a little despite myself. It was getting harder to stay angry when he was confused as a little boy. "Are you sure?" I pressed on, enjoying his confusion more than I should. "Maybe there's something wrong in your eyes. Or do you normally put on contacts?" "No, Evelyn. My doctors believe my eyes are perfectly fine and I'm in no need of contacts." He exasperated.

Bound By A Contract

Bound By A Contract

"Besides, you're a Pharmacist. What are you scared of?" I heard Cole chuckle lightly as he murmured to himself and went into the bathroom to dispose of the water he had used to bath me. "Exactly the same thing I told her." I glared at his retreating back, but had to stop when the action put pressure on the area behind my eyes and I winced audibly. The medicated contacts still in my eyes began to itch softly and for the first time in five years, I was beginning to regret ever lying about my eye colour. From what the optician told me, I needed to get them removed as soon as possible to prevent an eye infection but I could not do so if everyone was in the room staring at me with wide eyes and p

My Blood Wizard System

My Blood Wizard System

The sun was brutal—Arkansas October pretending it was July—but my skin drank the light like sweet tea. No burn. No squinting. Just ruby irises soaking up gold. Grandma hummed approval. “New perk. Receivers walk in daylight when the vein is pleased. Enjoy it. The color in your eyes? That’s the veil’s signature. Undeniable.” I rolled to school, wheels singing on dry pavement. Took just me just a couple minutes to get there. The ruby eyes earned stares in the hallway—Brittany actually squealed, “New contacts?!”—but nobody asked twice.

The Rise Of The Last White Wolf

The Rise Of The Last White Wolf

“What’s wrong with your eyes?” Traci blinked her eyes. Then immediately burst out laughing. Without answering, she bent down beside her chair. When she sat back up, something rested on her fingertip. “Corb.” She held up the tiny lens. “They’re just contacts.” Understanding immediately dawned. “Oh.” She rolled her eyes. “I had to wear them because…” Her sentence trailed away. She didn’t need to finish. The moment she removed the second contact, the reason became obvious. Gold. And a soft glow seemed to shine from them.

THE MAFIA'S PRINCESS

THE MAFIA'S PRINCESS

She told me and grabbed the last box, taking it to the mirror stand table. After about 30 minutes, I looked at myself in the mirror but held back my breath because I saw a different girl staring back. Ana was so good. She'd made my eyes pop out with dark mascara and eye shadow, made my lips look fuller with a velvet shade of lipstick and carved my brows so well. "Now, for the finishing touch, your contacts." She said, giving me a small transparent box. "Let me help you." I opened my eyes really wide and tried not to blink as Ana helped me with the contacts. It was black, covering my sea blue eyes.

Super awesome! Congrats dear author for a well-written wonderful story. The gruesomeness is realistic for a mafia story like this but it is still balance with the love story and a little spicy romance though not that steamy. Kudos to you and looking forward for more like this one. Highly Recommended

The look in your eyes

The look in your eyes

" So do you see like, just black? or do you see purple like your eyes" "Nope, I see, nothing". " How does that feel like?". "Use one hand to close one eye, don't shut your eyes close, just use that one hand to cover it, and try looking at me, the one that's open sees me but the one eye covered sees nothing". She gasps "Woah, you're right, must be scary". "Nah... I'm used to it". Jesse's mum clears her throat " Jessica, don't ask such questions, that's rude, and Violet, you should know better than to speak while we are at the table eating, now let's just focus on our meal". Jessica and I chorused "Yes mother"

Emerald Eyes

Emerald Eyes

I saw myself at the edge of nowhere beneath a very odd tree. White leaves were falling from it that gave me an eerie sensation. I was like inside a 90's television. Everything was in black and white. My gaze landed on the guy beside me. At that moment, I realized that I was not alone. Everything has no color except me and him. It felt weird especially when he touched my cheek softly and I felt the warmth of his hand. I was lying on the grass with him, captivated by his peculiar eyes. Those pair of eyes were green as emerald stones, fascinating and deep as if it can pierce through my soul. I can’t take my eyes off him.
